Did Hasbro release a new Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader figures with Kenner style slide out light sabers?

no Darth, but there was a Luke with the 4pack early bird thing that walmart did a few years ago.

also, Many years ago Kenner released some reproductions of Luke, Darth, Chewbacca, and Han in a four pack. I think they might have been TrU only? I'd like to say that was in 1997?

the repro thing was called the 'classic edition 4-pack' It was from the potf2 line

Yup, I remember that. They sat on shelfs for a LONG time and ended up on clearance. On X-mas too is when I think they came out. I saw stacks of these and I passed on them. Small head Solo too.

yeah, the small head Han.

That set was actually pretty cool. I wish they had done the double telescoping thing. Then the yelling would have been even louder from the vintage SW world.
But it would have been great to have seen it done that way.

All Kenner really needed to do was to blow them up 4x the original size and everyone would've gone gaga tho. apparently

The Luke and Chewbacca rock in that set. Leia and R2 are like "meh."

there is also and Anakin E2 figure with the Slide in and out saber...it came out in 2002 along with the movie.
