I take it that there are collectors out there for these? I always figured that they were more of a kids toy. I never really actually knew anyone that collected them before. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

Too much space. Need more toys!

Gee - I hope they are kids toys - maybe adults won't buy them up, kids can play with them, create their own memories and collect them in 20 years from now. I actually buy them for my nephews, thanks for the heads up.
Don't be sorry. How would you know? You've been watching MTV all your life.

I was shocked that they put out a comic book recently for The Corps.

I always thought of them as the poor man's GI Joe. I know my brother's been using them as customs fodder for his RAH 25th stuff.

Apparently these figures must be gaining popularity among collectors. I was thinking the same thing you wrote above. A less expensive GI Joe that would be good for customs if you are into customizing the 3.75" line.

I remember when these were just a buck a piece. For a "poor man's joe" they sure have gone up in price.

I guess they are trying to appeal to the collector market since kids tend to stick to cartoon licenses for toys.

I like the 12" classic ones. They made great gifts for the kids who were in my GIJoe club some years back. The outfits came w/ really cool accessories. Sadly, I could never find the big gear.

It's not widly known, but Disney Stores had a line of Buzz Lightyear of Star Command Toys, and in those deluxe Box sets were repainted Corps Tanks and jets, but with the star command color pallet.

Thankfully it would seem now that The Corps have a Comic and an upcoming movie (YES, A MOVIE on syfy) It seems like they're really trying to branch out.

And as a parent I really like the fact that I can affor a 10 pack of figures for under $13.00!

Sadly though my local walmart only really carries these from AUG-DEC. but for the price they make great gifts, and they are pretty durable. (My youngest son is brutal with toys). If you guys find any other new sets please post pics, so I can keep track, thanks.
