That movie just KILLED my interest in Joes. I was collecting the 25th's like crazy then the movie came out and it was so bad I stopped cold turkey.
Same with Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. I was embarassed to be a Transformer fan. I thought about selling my collection. I decided not to in the end and have decided I'm done buying any new ones.

Looks like Sideshow's pretty much taken over the 1/6th scale joes. There are starting to become pretty high ticket items aren't they? I don't think there are many 12" figures you can get for $20-30 bucks anymore.

Those are some nice figures indeed. You can thank the people buying up the 8" line for raising the bar on the price point. An 8" figure is now going for $20.00 pretty easily. So why not raise the price of the 12" to get even MORE $$$. That is what the stores logic of thinking is I would imagine.

I really like that Alley Viper. It reminds me of the earlier versions.

The Alley-Viper has "RESOLUTE" Style alt helmet. Warden @ Archer really have pulled out all the stops for the 2010/2011 line! This and news on G.I.JOE: RENEGADES, I am very happy to have my JOE Collection.

Agreed any and all attempts to recapture what was agreart toy line in the 80's with RAH has been poor. I don;t find the 25th anniversary that appealing , and the G.i.joe Vs Cobra line earlier this decade (O-ringless) was proof that this property may never feel the same as it did. However there are some in the lines since the original I have collected but not many. I'd love to get that SDCC Sgt Slaughter. I love that.

I didn't care for the designs of the new cartoon either. A lot of them looked like little kids.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah I'm not sure about the new design for the show, but all the new figures look incredible. Pursuit of Cobra stuff is a great marriage between old and new. Probably the sharpest Joes have ever looked.

POC ( some call it Piece of Cr*p other by it's given name depends on their opinion of ROC) is definitely a coninuation of the film designs (except that you won't see the film actor faces in this year's line). There are some nods to RAH and resolute but it's a new line the same way GIJOE VS Cobra in 2000 "new scuplt" was only loosely connected to the RAH vintage line

I can't say I'll buy none of the line but I certainly am not getting all of it
