Outer Space Men Land at SDCC

Two exclusive sets are landing at SDCC.

I'm definitely looking forward to these guys, but I'm sure a lot of people are going to be spooked at that price. Even with the limited production run.

I am looking forward to this line more than any other release this year, but I don't really do exclusives. Will be passing on these, and waiting for the regular versions.

At $10 a pop, that's not too bad.

Glyos figures, Pheyden and Exellis were originally $10 a pop until production costs were lowered Matt was able to offer them for $8.

The very cool Callgrim sells at $10 a pop as well, and he sells well.

In short, the prices are pretty decent for this type of limited figure (until you hold and play with a Glyos figure, you can't see what good quality they really art...they are MEANT for heavy play), and considering that these are "Exclusive" to SDCC, I kinda get the feeling the prices may drop for the regular run.

I just learned about these figures recently....and saw the pics of the figures that will be SDCC exclusives. The asking price seems very reasonable for this short of a run.

I like the look of the figs.....but I don't know if my wallet will support me getting into yet another figure line

          AAAAHHHH!!!

I was born after the originals disappeared; but ALWAYS wanted them after seeing the Colourforms set. I'd prefer them in 8" scale (I'm trying really hard to limit the stuff IO collect to 8" scale) but holee smokes these are fantastic! And I guess I COULD use a set as models for 8" customs....

I love Astro Nautilus, but I don't have the dough to try to get a 2-pack from SDCC. While I really like what's being done with the new format figures (and will probably buy a couple), I really really wish someone would repro the vintage versions.

I agree....I really feel as if Phase 1 set will be the big hit...

These also remind me of the old Fisher Price "Adventure People" space adventure figures from way back. At least that was my initial thought when I saw the body/articulation design. Now this makes me want to locate some of those old figures

I think a rebirth of these in a vintage 8" style would be insane.....just imagine the cool retro art on the packaging! Then Mattel could try and reissue Major Matt Mason....and the space race would be on
