I'm really hoping they'll continue to do more and more from the original line. I think they'll do well.....though I can see people probably not getting too excited about a 12" Lobot or General Madine
TCM loves these things...but I can't say I agree on this one. Once I got the vision of a giant pair of scissors on sale at Archie McPhee in my head, I couldn't get it out...my review of the Fett:

I feel dirty that I disagree about the 12 " Lobot being not exciting.
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

So...with THAT review in mind...I have
ONE BIG QUESTION....and that is:
What are your predictions on a the after-effects of this line's release
in the context of "loose figure price drop"...as in... In a year, do you
think that loose figs in this line may be availiable on Ebay for less money?

Totally agree.
Based on the Facebook feedback, a majority of them do like it(them)while others don't because of the articulation and being dated. LOL.
I think some folks miss the idea behind this line.
But regardless the price is too much and no word in site about the price for the regular line.
But again, if lack of sales, the line will end.
As for value of these in the future, I can foresee them going up because of the pukka value
Not many were made or will be made so 1500 compared to current and future collectors worldwide will make this item and future ones scare.
Who knows, they might be bootlegged in the other countries.

Haha, well, we can't all see eye to eye. The only thing I don't love about these, is the price!

Lemme put it "this" way just to flap my jaw/elaborate...the MOTUC line....
I just started getting involved w/buying them loose...and it's kinda hit and
miss,,,,but many "loose" ones still retain close to their retail as it was when
they were "packaged".
I'd love to think that eventually I'll have a few of these
12" vintage SW figs in my collection but if I can't get 'em for $50 loose...
its gonna be hard o justify the cost.
I appreciate the spec info you shared already, yet any more specific cost
guesses for loose figs a year from now would be interesting to hear.

Hmmm...always nice to hear that there may be more options.

Makes sense.
Hard to tell in this economic climate. Anything can happen, right?
IMO,
I don't think they will drop due to being limited edition. Even loose. They will always have the 1500 production mark on them so they will always be floating around the $100 mark.
I don't think anyone will toss out the packaging since you can always put the figure back into the clamshell. It's resealable. Not to mention, it's HUGE!
I'm miffed on the price but to me it's worth it for now.
I wish my kids were into them but I have a feeling sometime in the future they end up in a garage sale. LOL

Keep me in mind---ha
Seriously tho'...thanks for expounding...sounds pretty much
along the lines of the MOTUC items give or take....
.......except in a higher price range.

I honestly think that if they could've made the price on these more reasonable for your average SW collector to afford, and not make such limited numbers of each figure as well, these would sell REALLY well and they could still make a decent profit on them overall. Alot of people I know who I've shown the Fett and 'Trooper to have gotten pretty excited about them.....until they learned the price.
The fact that they are exclusives and limited to 1500 makes it no surprise to me that they were $85. BUT the general releases are going to have to come down in price for this line to be a big success. I bet they are still going to be pricey though. If they could sell these for around $30, they would sell a lot better. I have a feeling the price is going to be around $65. I hope I am way off. :p
I'm all for a reasonable price drop.
You have to remember these guys are a small boutique company located in Burbank, Ca.
The are not Mattel or Hasbro. I don't think they are capable of mass producing these things without incurring a large upfront cost.
All their stuff is always small run but great quality. Very boutique style.
If these figures are limited run like the rest of their inventory and past catalog, then I think they will stay at $85 a piece. I too hope I am WAY off.
