I don't know if anyone here has seen or mentioned it yet, but Gentle Giant is doing reproductions of the original Kenner figures in 12" scale! These are scanned in 3D from the original figures and are said to be on a giant reproduction of the orignal cards. These are mentioned in Toyfare Magazine #157 out now, and they will be revealed at SDCC. The article says the original 12 will all be done and more surprises will follow! This is looking like a great time for Star Wars fans! The article has pictures of Walrus Man, Boba Fett and a Stormtrooper and pictures of scans of Leia and Hammerhead, and a waxsculpt of a Tusken Raider!Comment

these will be a scale up of the vintage 3 in line not a recreation of the 12" large action figures. For Stormtrooper, vader, chewbacca, and c3po it's a massive improvement - to be honest I was awlays suprised this idea wasn't the one taken by Kenner then - they must have been using design queues from the 6mdm boogfootComment

Here is a photo of what the 12" Stormtrooper will look like in on a card.
I guess at the con they will go for $85 but other people are jacking up the price. No surprise.

is the han solo big head or small head version? now i get it, they are making the 3 3/4 inch size sculpt 1/6 scale and not recloning the vintage 12 inch sculpt.Comment

i think it's a great idea since it's never been done before. i dont think people would want to buy the same vintage 12 inch kenner release if the gentle giant version looks exactly alike.Comment
