Josh Brolin HEX from Neca Review !!!

Well, Saddle Up Partner , Get to the ToysRus and No Need to Wash a Face Like that !

I made a Stop at ToysRus while I was out today ..., And Good Old HEX here, was just Look at me, saying, " You Know you wanna Buy Me Knight ..., so Be Done with it " . ... Dammit .., He was right you Know.

I think they Just put these on the Shelf ..., There was 4 HEX , 1 Lilah and 2 TurnBull . Not sure about the Case assortments, But That Megan Fox figure Might be only 1 Per Case ..., And She does look alot Better in person, than the Marketing Pics, .. However still looks nothing Like Fox imo..., Which is Sad, because Usally Neca Hit thier Mark.

Hex on the Other Hand ..., Looks Like Brolin to me. Fantastic Likeness for a 7inch figure. HEX's Hat and Duster ARE Removable, He comes with 2 LeMats , a ShotGun and a Tomahawk. ... Maybe He's gonna scalp someone in the Flick ? ...

Hex Also come with an Interchangable Hand.... He has Ball Joints on His Shoulders, and Elbows, and a Ball Jointed Neck. He also Has Ball Joints on his Legs, that plug into the boots, which make up for the non-joints in the Knees.

All in all, Pretty Pleased Here, Pretty Excited for the Flick, and this Figure is Extremely Detailed. Interesting that Neca seems to be doing a lot of the DC /WB Movie figures as of Late ..., I'd be pretty Happy with Some Neca Green Lantern Figures.

    Those aren't six shooters.

They're LeMats, which hold nine rounds, plus a 16 gauge ball in the second barrel, for a total of ten projectiles per gun.

No harm or foul in not knowing, it's just a hobby of mine. its an easy mistake to make, when you don't know your iron. I've heard other reviews refer to them as Colts.

the LeMat is an incredible weapon though......It's a 100% Confederate sidearm, and there's a lot of cool history around it.

are you a fan of Firefly?, Jayne Cobb's sidearm is based on the LeMat.

he doesn't have a lot. NECA's movie figures favor sculpt over articulation.

It's still a great figure and an incredible likeness.

The Lemat is a cool pistol, but its what I consider a gimmick gun. Never fired one myself, but I have read that they were clumsy, ill balanced, and not very accurate. They had a short range, and were really only good in close up skirmishes....which I guess would be handy in the civil war. Hardly the weapon of choice for a gunslinger though. Hex should have Navy Colts, or 1860 Army Colts....or if the films set late enough Peacemakers or Schofields ...or something a gunfighter would really use. Could be worse...I'm surprised they didnt give him a couple Remington .50 calibers or something, based on the direction the film seems to be taking!

That Winchester lever action shotgun is another somewhat rare weapon...and didnt come out until 1887!!! Little out of Hex's usual 1870's time period. They were prone to jamming, and I believe I read somewhere that the only reason Winchester kept making them is they got a contract to supply them to US and Canadian prison guards during the early 1900's

Still, cool to see....I think the only other film I can think of that used one of these was one of the Terminator films had Arnie using one with a pistol grip handle.

You know, I dont recall Hex ever using a shot gun? At least not back when I read him in the seventies and early eighties? Of course, he never had super powers in the comics either...or had dual gattling guns hooked to his saddle...or had that weird crossbolt thing....
