    Wal Mart Canada question?

I have noticed a disturbing trend at all the local Wal Marts of late. They have pretty much all expanded into Super Wal Marts, and all of the brand new stores are Super sized to begin with, yet the toy department has shrunk to a shadow of its former self. I went into the local store last week, and what was once two aisles of action figures, is now cut back to one side of an aisle, and that is shared with hot wheels and the like. Is that something unique to Alberta, or is it Canada wide? (US wide too?)

I always preferred Zellers and TRU, but Wallyworld did carry a lot of stuff that neither of those two seemed to get up here. Plus they usually priced everything a buck or more lower than the other big competitors. I guess in the long run, the desizing of Wallys toy department may help TRU and Zellers....but its still sad to see. We lost K-Mart, Woolco, Eatons, Woodwards, Tops in Toys, Toys and Wheels, Toy City, and Consumers Distributing. Sears and the Bay seldom have a toy department , and if they do its a joke......these are dark times folks....dark times!

Our local one seems to have the same size toy section, so far at least. And I don't think ours will expand into a super Walmart. Our town just isn't big enough, I'm still surprised there's a Walmart here at all.
It is sad to see how the outlets for selling toys have shrunk so much over the years.

We have a small Walmart in my town, and it only has one side of an aisle for action figures. To make matters worse, the only superhero stuff they are carrying is Ironman 2 and Spiderman figures. Kinda sucks

In Brantford its about 4 isles in total. One for action figures, one for hot wheels and lego, and then Barbie/girls toys. Oh and the baby toys have an isle.
