What is you all time favourite line of DC Action Figures?
I'd have to consider everything from DC Direct (6" or so) as one line....The amount of characters they have done, many obscure is astonishing. And they're much easier to hunt down than DCUClassics, which duplicates many of the same characters but are more difficult to find. If Mattel could get the distribution fixed they'd be headed in the right direction...
2nd place I'd have to give it to Super Powers but their New Gods choices and made-up characters like Golden Pharaoh and Cyclotron ruin it for me somewhat....
JLU is great also but too many Supermen, Batmen, GLs is a big downfall....

DC Universe Classics.
Your figures can Pose in any classic comicbook posistion , character likeness are iconic , but still somewhat generic. I was disapointed when I purchased my Wave 1 of Blackest night figures from DCD ...., they barely posed, and looked like mini Statues, and Black Lantern Superman's legs are jacked.
For my Teens...
Gotta go with BTAS ...., I hadn't collected anything in yrs, prior to this line. This line , just like the Show, was the gate way for everything to come. I really like the cartoon vision of all the characters.
Super Power's from my Childhood. Being younger than most, and blowing threw Mego pretty quickly , because of lack there of avalibility, These were in many ways my Mego. And to me ..., they still have made the best damn Batmobile for figures ever.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
for all its faults, DCD DID give us a lot of first-run characters, and right up until it acquired the Batman and Superman licenses, produced a great variety of characters.
but DCUC is really giving them a run for their money!
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures
I like super powers. I don't have any but like the few my uncle has. I might collect them some day. I do like the new ones out also, not sure what they are called, maybe it's the DC universe you others are talking about. But I don't have any of those either.
DC Direct for me. When it comes to value and overall craftsmanship, I put my money where the work shows. Compare the 13 inch Lantern to all other variations and the competition is laid to waste. Speaking of Lantern, it will be interesting to see what kind of product starts popping up on shelves around early 2011. I bet those hard-to-find DC Direct 6 inch Sinestros will flood the market.
I've got a ton of DC Directs, but the scale inconsistencies and the fragile nature of them makes me not love them like I should. The DCUC are just a nice looking, and actually have play value! I just wish they were easier to find...and cheaper!
But overall, I have to go with Super Powers. The characters, the vehicles, the playsets...they've yet to be equaled.
Everyone seems to have issues with DC Direct figures not being constructed well...I've yet to have a problem myself. I have a large majority of them displayed loose, perched precariously on boxed sets and such and they never fall down, break or anything.
Same can't be said for my Marvel Legends...those dudes are always falling down and apart

Superpowers - catpured the character designs perfectly, power action playability with concealed action levers, a scaled and detailed batmobile. I was not a New gods fan at the time and got those characters only out of completeism later. I had no issues finding the ones I wanted at retail when I was using a Bike to get there (incl Cpt Marvel plas and Cyborg in sereis 3)
plus it put characters like Green lantern, Flash, hawkman, and Dr fate in plastic for the first time
I like the DCUC line but having to fight the scalpers to find stuff and the price point turn me off.
BAS Kenner - some great designs but the kenner model of millions of batman makes the line as a whole a loser despite brilliant pieces in it (incl the first season riddler) and the batmobile was a loser compared to super powers a decade earlier from the same company
DC direct 6" had cool figures but the plethera of variants and the fact they are so fragile turn me off too
