    Clearance items (movie tie ins)

In the last few weeks I've found several cheaps figures and one vehicle in my area. I bought GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra Agent Helix and Covergirl for $1.50 a piece. The figures are great for that price but I must say that Helix is one of the best figures of the movie line imo. Covergirl doesn't look much like the actor in the film. I also ran across a Maverick figure from the Wolverine Movie for $2. It's a nicely articulated and detailed figure, my only gripe is tha his wrists do not swivel.

My main purchase was a Rise of Cobra Night Raven for $12. It's a bit smaller than the 80's version (I have two) but it cleary pays homage to it. But I have gripes... The landing gear is molded plastic, they are not real wheels. To prime each missle (it has a fold out handle and trigger underneath) you have to **** the plane like a gun.

The electronic sounds don't bother me but get this, the plane does not come with batteries... The last electronic Joe plane, the Thunderwing, came with batteries and was a little cheaper I think but this thing was $40 plus tax and they couldn't include a pair of cheap batteries? No wonder the thing didn't sell! It's okay for $12 but certainly not for $40. Oh and the missles seem to be mounted in the engine areas. I like to think that the actual engines are in the very rear of the place and the nacelles are just missle launchers.

The ROC figures were at Target.

I bought the Night Raven from Kmart and Maverick came from Walmart.
