There were rumors of hasbro releasing figures from micronauts for a while as wellas some of takaras new microman stuff, not sure if it was true, or the fact that takara don't seem to make them anymore killed it I seem to remember along with rumors of a microman movie

I had always thought that what killed the Palisades Micronauts were the quality issues with the first line; the factory for the first set of toys really screwed the pooch. A lot of broken figures or accessories, and the line never recovered. At least that was my impression.

It was heartbreaking because they did that line so right; new colors, brand new extra accessories for each figure in addition to the classic ones, and the original product artist producing package art.

I wish we'd gotten to the point where they were designing new characters or reissuing classic microman that never saw the light of day here.

Good points all-but didn't the problems they had in the Micronauts re-release really kill them? The entire first wave suffered because the factory omiited parts producing sub-standard product. they went forward with the additional waves but it really hurt their reputation.

I think it hurt the line, but I heard nothing but praise for the quality of the Muppets line.
