    LOL @ Mattel's Quality Control

Man, sometimes Mattel makes it too easy. Mattel botches another one with this classic. Check out Optikk from his recent MattyCollector pics... Optikk sees all... Mattel doesn't!

More "quality control" at work. How someone missed this when using a high quality camera taking super HD pics is beyond me.

People Have complained about The New MOTU figures breaking, and coming with 2 left hands, 2 right hands, or the same foot , with the line for a while now .... I have only ever opened a few, so far, and must be lucky, because I have yet to run into the issue with wrong parts on these or my DCU figures, and I am only missing a Handfull from either line.

The issues really have been laughable. Especially if you consider the additional cost to simply have someone check every figure individually. If you pay two workers $500 each per 40 hour week and they quality check 10,000 figures it works out to 10 cents a figure. It's 1/2% of the total retail price. BTW I realize they aren't making near that much over there, and work more than 40 hour weeks, so these numbers are pretty much skewed in their favor, which makes it even worse from our side. If you add up the cost of dealing with an unsatisfied customer on this side of the ocean. Customer service agent to field the call, cost of replacement figure, cost of person to pack figure, cost of materials to pack figure, cost of shipping new figure, you're probably talking break even at around 50 figures or 1/2% of the total run. Those two workers overseas need to catch 25 non-quality figures a week each to be roughly a break even cost wise overall. That's not adding in the fact that you aggravated a customer in the first place which could have been avoided.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

I wonder how much it costs them when a person gets so disappointed with the line that they stop buying them, causing the figures to sit on the shelves and go on clearance, or never sell at all.

This is nothing new. Mattel's promo photography for MOTUC has always been a mix of bad photoshop and unfinished prototypes.

The MOTUC toys themselves on the otherhand are some of the best quality (if not the best toys) on the market right now in my opinion. I've gotten every MOTUC figure so far and the worst problems I've had is a few joints that could have been tighter.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

i haven't had any problems with any of the motu figures i have purchased so far (knock on wood) other than a tri-klops that was too loose. totally agree with you werewolf. motu is the best line going atm. trap jaw and battle cat were just amazing.

Agreed but even the best made product can have an issue. QC is what stops that from becoming a major problem.

Yeah even good products need QC. Mattel's is notoriously bad.
