Handful of Heroes wave 2

I know there are a few us of here collecting Hasbro's Marvel line Handful of Heroes.

I just found some new ones which must be wave 2. As far as I could tell, they have the exact same packaging. They only way to tell is to look to see if any of the figures look new in the package.

According to the included poster, it appears 50% of the figures are new sculpts and 50% are the old ones again. It seems the colors are a little different on the old ones compared to the same ones in wave 1.

Overall its pretty confusing. I'm not sure if I'm going to bother to get a complete set.

I haven't even finished getting a full solid color set from the first go around.

I did pick up a couple of packs of this second series... and there is a fairly easy way to see if they are first and second series...


Where the big KAPOW is on the front:
The first series package says "KAPOW in every pack"



Series 2 says "KAPOW! 8 Awesome heroes in every pack"

My youngest totally loves these. I'm glad there's a series 2, but I wish it was all new.

LOOK for the big "8" for series 2.

The packages without the big "8" are definitely series 1, but there are also series 1 packages WITH the big "8" as well. Some of the "8" packages have the same bar code number as non-"8" packages. Those packages come with the series 1 checklist and the series 1 exclusive figures. All of the series 2 packages do have the "8" so...

If there is not an "8" it is definitely series 1.
If it is series 2 it definitely does have the "8".
But there are also series 1 packages with the "8" as well, so the only sure way to tell is by the barcode number or the figures inside the package.
