What happened to Toybiz (Marvel Toys)

After the cancelleation of the Legenday Comics Line they seemed to have disappeared. I really loved (preferred) their Marvel Legends line.

I think you may Have Inadvertently...., somewhat Answered your Own question Kinda with the Title of your Thread...

See ..., I guess from everything I ever read, or heard ..., ToyBiz WAS Marvel.
So .., in efforts to Actually have someone Pay them for a License, and actually Make Money on selling thier Property..., Marvel let Hasbro Buy them.

I had heard that Half of the Design Team Actually went with the Property over to Hasbro ..., But the Jessie Falcon ( The Rumored Brain Child behind the figures) Stayed with "Toybiz" on the Legendary Hero Line ..., that didn't make it Past Wave 2 ..., which Most the figures were Not very good, But they made a Damn Awesome BAF in PITT.

Marvel Legends were Never as good with Hasbro,.. as they were with Toybiz imo ... But then a few Pieces really stick out to me ..., that ToyBiz never Made ...

    Fing Fang Foom
    Ares
Kazar , Sabu and Shanna ...
    WW2 Cap
    Spiral
    Red Hulk
    2nd Target Only Movie Hulk
    Planet Hulk and WW Hulk

And a few others. These figures are really, really well Done imo..., Nice stuff for sure.

Hasbro is KING of the 3&3.4 inch Wave's ..., I am sure they will make some real nice stuff in the next comming yrs with Marvel.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

always trading for Hot Toys Figures .

Toybiz also had the TNA Wrestling line that provided me with lots of Mego sized hands and boot feet.

I liked the Hulk/Fin Fang Foom line but the rest of the stuff from Hasbro was more miss than hit...

The last wave I saw at Wal-Mart, actually the last couple, were peg-warmers for over a year

Toy Biz had a great thing going, and they really redefined action figures with the super-posability. It was a rocky start, as I thought the early Marvel Legends figures sometimes came put like ugly marionettes, but they eventually worked out the kinks, and made everyone stand up and take notice...and rip them off.

It's a shame they kind of dissolved like they did. It's also weird that the did that "Legendary Heroes" line of figures since most of them were Image characters created by guys who left Marvel in a huff.

Toy Biz came a long way from their craptacular DC Super Heroes line of 1989!
