    MattyCollector is a Toy Nazi.

After 45 minutes in cue, with TrapJaw and BattleCat in my shopping cart, following the rules of "no refresh"... I get to the final page and submit.

Error screen: page does not exist.

So hit back in my browser, and a new message: TrapJaw is sold out, remove from cart to continue.

I grumble. And I do it. GO though it all over again.

After 5 minutes of waiting... new message: BattleCat is sold out, remove from cart to continue.

Seriously? They haven't figured out they sell out every month? They haven't figured out a way to deal with the high traffic volume?

I'm not buying these toys from a retailer. I'm buying from the freakin' maker! Not a small time maker, no, one of the biggest toy companies on the planet.

The only way they should ever be "sold out" is if there is a run on plastic in Hong Kong or where ever these things are made.

There is no excuse for the poor site management, poor allocation management, and down right doody-headedness of Matty Collector.

I hope they choke on all those JLU figure stands they have clogging their site!

Matty Collector is a Toy Nazi.

That totally sucks, and I feel your pain. I don't collect modern toys but that battlecat looked pretty dang cool. #$%^

Same thing happened to me with Trap-Jaw. I had both in my cart, got an error on my checkout the first time. By the time it finished processing my order the second time, Trap-Jaw was sold out. I think if you have the items in your cart, they should be reserved for you. At least I scored a Battlecat, but after the mess and wait I went through, the excitement is completely dead.

This is the first time I ever had problems ordering from them. Now I see that all the complaints are completely warranted.

I got screwed on Trap Jaw same as you Guys.....
I dunno what else to say ..., Kinda Disapointed..., real Disapointed..., Next to He-Man he is Probably my favorite MOTU figure..., I was looking forward to him....

It's really because they let Scalper's get 10 of a figure ... they need to limit that to no more than 4. But I guess that way they can create the "Allure and collectible Mentality of these ..." I'm gonna ***** on thier forum.

I dunno if I should pay someone an extra 10 bucks on ebay for 1 ... or wait for the re-issue. I guess time and funds will tell.

        It sucks.

Yeah, I really have been wanting to get into the classics line. I grew up playing with He-Man, and I absolutely love the new sculpts. But, I'm not even trying anymore. It's just impossible to get the figures.

To be honest, I really think they should limit it to 1 figure (per customer) for the first week. Then after that week has past, let it open to those people who buy 10-15-20 of a figure. You know that they aren't buying them because they love the character that much. This way all of the little collectors would at least have a chance, before the speculative collectors squeeze all the fun out of it with their twisted greedy little fingers.

And Mattel is supporting those vile deformed abominations by continuously releasing the figures in stupifyingly low quantities.
          ALL HAIL MING!

Not to mention I was completely raped by their shipping and taxes. Battle Cat ended up costing me nearly $45.

hap's idea has merrit and is actually not far from an actually viable option. while they might not be able to easily code to limit to 1 figure a week it would not be that hard to code the checkout to 1 figure per checkout. at least then some personal collectors could have a chance.

I understand their desire to limit production #'s ti reduce potential warehouse clog but the current system caters to ebay scalping

I agree that limiting one or two figures on the first day of sale would be ideal.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

A limit of 2 for the 1st week , is a Fantastic Idea.

Yeah, I don't quite get that.

You've got people that have gotten every figure so far, from King Grayskull to Battle Armor He-Man, threatening to quit in a rage because they missed one figure. They've missed one figure, that more than likely will get re-issued in a few months, and they're quiting.

It just strikes me as more than a tad overly dramatic.

I can understand the frustration, but I think people take it a bit too far some times. You've got people hysterically ranting and frothing with rage because they missed a toy. I mean sure it sucks, but if someone is that intensely livid over missing a toy, I think maybe they're priorities are a little out of whack.
