Why has Red Sonja never been an action figure?

I understand that you wouldn't want to see her practically falling out of her Bikini in the kid's toy sections, but given how big action figures have become in the adult collector's market in the past dozen years, I can't figure out why she hasn't been made into a figure by someone. Lots of statues, but even Vampirella has her action figures. It would have been great to see a Red Sonja from Clayburn Moore in scale with the Vampirella, Lady Death and Witchblades.

Why hasn't Hot Toys or one of the other high end Asian companies put out a 1/6th scale version?

How about one of the Re-Mego companies!

    Hmmmm....

Back in the day female characters didn't sell so good; and her current comic is pretty recent, so she missed the peak action figure years.

It would have been nice if Marvel Toys had made a version. They did put a Conan figure out.

A mego would have been cool, even if she had a "flesh" bodysuit! It was the era where she made the Superhero Women trade (although to be fair, even The Cat made that).

The second missed opportunity would have been the 80's movie, but that didn't do too well even though it spun off the blue fur outfit era in the comic books.

            would not sell.
and the other"sexy action figures"are really high end toys ment for collectors, not a big enough base to warrant production.
Plus her 1985 movie was dreadful, making toys less likely.
and the fact that female centered movies and Tv shows have BOMBED in resent years ,is also a factor about releasing female action figures.

Plus the fact that her comic wasn't nearly as popular as Conan the Barbarian's title.

The 'Chicks in Chainmail' genre of books didn't really take off until Xena: Warrior Princess became a hot commodity, and then the market was glutted with good, bad and horrendous action figures.

I never read her title when I was a little girl, I was more into the black and white horror comics, but I can see that she had a certain appeal.

You can always try your own custom of her; I'd be interested in seeing the results.
