Favorite Thor figure

As you can see I'm a big Thor fan and at present I have 6 Thor figures in my collection.

The Famous covers Thor is my first Thor figure and he's pretty nice. My only gripes were that he is was out of scale with most of my collection at the time and he had huge boots.

I think the Wave 3 ML Thor is pretty nice overall even thought he does have some issues. His articulation and top heaviness makes it difficult for him to stand and his costume shirt is missing the two lower plates. I like this figure because it came with a cool skeleton decorated base, plus he was 100% better than the first Toybiz figure from the early 90's which was awful. Plus I had to tape wave 3's hammer into his hand.

The later Walmart version of Thor was only superior to the Wave 3 in the sculpt factor and a bit more articulation. His cape is so heavy he still has trouble standing. Plus he is no where near as bulky as the wave 3 version. Hasbro's Hercules makes him look like a wimp.

The super hero showdown Thor is imposing compared to a lot of the other 3.75 inch figures but he can't really grasp his hammer.

Hasbro MLs King Thor is a huge improvement over the walmart exclusive Thor, he can actually stand up without aid he sports one of my favorite Thor costumes. He comes with both Mjolnir and his Skurge's ax. The only bad thing is that I think his costume should have been a darker blue and his boots should have been as gold as his belt.

The Marvel Select Thor is perhaps the best sculpt I've seen of him. Since he is a select figure he has less articulation but his paint apps and detail makes up for that. He also sports Thor's recent costume which I really like.


So far the Marvel Select Thor is my favorite Thor figure . Followed by King Thor and the Wave 3.

The large size marvel legends one trumps all except the sideshow premium format figure...which should rightfully be worshipped.

You know I had forgotten about that one. There was also a pre ML Avengers toon version that was not that bad but was a bit stylized. I personally have never owned the Mego Thoe ( I wish I did), I've only seen pics. How close are the Mego Thor and the Famous Cover version in style and execution I wonder? Btw I also think the ML Beta Ray Bill is great! My one gripe is that the earlier version's gold highlights were more vivid.

The Avengers Boxed set Thor was nice but a bit "subdued"

BEST Thor is the Avengers line Thor! ( the one with the Heroes reborn Iron man ) It was just so awsome I couldnt help pick it up every time I walked poast it in my apartment.

Eventually He was sacrificed to add more detail to the Marvel model kit that came out about that time. I cut a lot of him apart .

I would still love to have another Avengers Thor. First time he had writing ( I think) on teh Hammer, chrome helmet and armor parts, great job adding additonal pieces for the boot tops and shoulder pads. I seem to remember the base was pretty awesome too. clouds and thunderbolts!

Marvel legend thor was okay. He at least had hands that could hold something.

His hair was too yellow.

Thing about thor is I have nevr under stood how exactlly his boots are suppossed to work. What part is black and what part is yellow? I mean if it were a real boot it never made sense.

The Ultimate Thor is nice. I liked he Ulimates a lot. I would really like to have that one too. AWESOME BASE

Still Avengers Thor is teh best ever. You must own it. It is number one all others or number two or lower.*

I may have to hunt the Avengers Thor down. I always thought that his boots were actually black with a yellow or gold colored cloth wrapped around them. I think the ancient norse used a similar style. Of course they look like tiger striped boots in the comic, the newest costume has more traditional boots.

I have to amend my Thor count to seven. I purchased the Thor/Enchantress comic pack tonight. I think Thor is better than the Superhero Showdown version but I have one real gripe, his helmet wings don't seem right, they seem to be positioned wrongly. This is the first official Enchantress figure ever made as far as I know and she is not that bad except that she lacks arm swivel articulation and her waist is a little loose.

I'm sure you would do the same for me if this was a Captain Z-Ro debate, but sadly they have never made a Captain Z-Ro.
