    My Sideshow Zira

Yeah I know...I still play with her. Someday I'll rework her outfit to make it more screen accurate.

Did you rework the head? It looks great!
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Yes, thanks. I did major surgery and cut off her original curls, added Super Sculpey, baked her head in the oven, and repainted. I actually did a lot of damage to her head paint by accident in trying to remove her lipstick with a q-tip and nail polish remover. I had no choice but to repaint her...

Alex, I customized the original Sideshow head. I thought at first that she was perfect and beautiful until I realized she was wearing lipstick. Removing the lipstick, I accidentally messed up the paint job, and holding her in my hand I realized that she would look more beautiful with a better hairstyle.

What you see is really a Sideshow Zira with a new hair style and makeup.

Here is a photo of the Sideshow Zira prototype, and a photo of how my Sideshow Zira looked before her makeover and after makeover. I cut off her curls and even removed the hair underneath her chin with an exacto knife. Her head has been rolling around a box for awhile now, and I decided to just pop it back on the body since I was craving to photograph something fun. She was sculpted for Sideshow by Matt Falls who is also a Planet of the Apes fan.

The accident that resulted in you repainting her turned out to improve the figure. If you ever sew an Astronuat costume for her count me in.
