Reading this thread, Im just wondering why travel all those miles to all the shops that hopefully stock the items that u are looking for. Cant u ring these places up , from the comfort of your own home, and just ask them if they have them, and can put them aside for u?, just curious.

I'm guessing you don't have Wal-Mart in Poland.

The first hurdle is getting someone to answer the phone and transfer you to someone who is even remotely close to the toy section. You're more likely to keep getting transferred back to the help desk and eventually "accidentally" hung up on.

Next, if you get through, good luck in that person even being able to understand what you're looking for, or even bothering to take the time and effort to look through some pegs for you.

It would be even more frustrating and time-consuming than just visiting in the first place!

I've never sat out front a Toys R Us waiting on delivery day but I do admit to bribing an employee once for a Poison Ivy Animated figure.

Tonight I decided to give eBay a break and go hunting. All I wanted was to check out a DC Guardian. I went to three SuperWalmarts, a Target, two Toys R us . . I havent been in a mall in so long I think Kay Bee toys closed and no one sells toys there anyway.

          I quit.

I don't need it that much.

How was I ever able to get ALL the Star Wars , Empire Strikes back, Superpowers wave 1 and 2, Gi Joe year one and two as a kid with the few rides I got to the store back then?

I feel sorry for kids who are collecting today. :-(
There were alot less adult collectors and less "chase" variants
