      The Mego 12" Canadian Superman.

I remember seeing this at Biway when I was a kid and just flipping out at such a large format Superman compared to my little Comic Action guy or the 8" version.

I'm going to be absolutely nuts for this guy...

Can't wait for ZOD to arrive.

Oops my bad. Pulled the wrong pic.

            This is the Mattel one...

The one with hair is a statue from Toynami, and my wallet shudders to think how much it may cost.

If I were to be objective about it, the worst Superman figure is the Comic Action Hero.

But I can't be since mine went practically everywhere with me as a tot. He has too much sentimental value. Even with that squatting in the woods pose and lack of detailing compared to contemporary figures of similar scale.

So once again Toy Biz wins out on putting out an inferior version of a figure that Kenner did so much better a few years previous.

And don't get me started on "Stop Punching Yourself" Lex.

My favorites are the Mego 12 inch movie Superman and Kenner Super Powers Superman.

Way to many bad ones to narrow it down.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

This one deserves honorable mention for Worst.

Where do I even start? This is everything wrong with Nineties Superheroes.

We have the awkward pose and lack of articulation that all Total Justice figures have.

Batman and Superman are "Cyber Linked" (I'lll leave that up your imagination)

                  Translucent Cape?! WHY?

                  finally... MULLET.

That Mattel Chris Supes might win this one eventually. Horrid body.

I have a soft spot for my old Mego supes from my childhood. For some reason I did not like the super powers vesion in the 80's.

Gotta go with the Mego 8" and 12" (Canuck version) Superman as best. Followed by the Super Powers figure. Most of the others lack....something(?) that keeps them off my list.

I love my 8" Mego Superman, he was always my favorite as a kid and I guess that attachement is why I have like 8 of him now (and still looking for more).

The second best came from a Superman and Batman 2 pack that came out in 2003... the BAtman kinda sucked since he didn't have any color to his trunks area but the Supes is awesome.

The third best is mainly because 1.) it took me to track one down way after the fact for a decent price and 2.) He's got a mullet... That's right baby, the Kmart exclusive 12 inch from the Man of Steel line circa 1998.

The worst would have to be the one that was released as part of the "the BAtman" line where they all had the sharp rectangular features.

The second worst would be any and all of the plush ones that have came out in the past 10 years...

and thirdly... the 36inch Brandon Roth version. That's a very large, creepy, stalker, dead beat dad, Superman IMO

It's the Superman Returns Ken Doll that creeps me out the most.

The Brandon Routh RAH should be awesome, but the problem is... it's Brandon Routh.

We FINALLY got a great movie accurate Marlon Brando as Jor-El. I really hope Mattel makes a more affordable one.

And I don't care if it was the peg-hanger, the only Superman Returns small figure I own is the Jor-El hologram. Again, I wish it had been painted like he appeared in the first Christopher Reeve movie, but beggers can't be choosers right?
