Best and worst Batmans? Since 1989?

    BEST

Micheal Keaton Removable armor Bruce Wayne. Great sculpt and play value.

Dc Silver Age Removable cowl Batman. Best costume , posability and size.

    WORST

" Lava Fury Batman' from the Massive Chisheled ripped line Nightmare batman line? What was it called? Just a ridiculous name.

( Actually there were a lot of bad 1990s, that mad max looking Legends one. The Sand Swordsman in a turban . . . )

The Two new Batman movies figure repaints. Not even resculpts.

<Best AND worst>. Two long desired Batmans : Dark Knight Returns. Gotham by Gaslight. BOTH broke while being opened . ( no more DC Direct for me)

I really like the Kenner Keaton Batman. Great figure, esp. for the time. The likeness is as good as anything you'd see in that scale now, and much better than most.

I'm real fond of the Hot Toys 12" Dark Knight Batman, and the DCD 13" classic Batman. The Mattel DCUC figure is quite nice, but I'm getting a bit tired of the repaints of it.

I posted my thoughts on this in an article for Iron-Cow Productions forums a few years back. Although it covers all Batman action figures, past and present. I really need to update that!

The Batman Darkknight collection from kenner used a modified super powers batman sculpt with the keaton face. The bat thing was they made like 60 decco's of the mold (actually this is a compaint for all the Kenner batman lines) they had 1 in the movie black and one if traditioonal color blue and greyblue.

as for worst take your pic of any of the legends of batman line from kenner they were bog and clunky and preset in "action" poses with joints that didn't actually make them posable.

I remember you asking me my opinion on the worst, and I've honestly deleted most of the bad ones from my memory. I have to give Mattel a lot of credit. They do release the odd costumed Batman in every line (except DCUC), but for the most part, especially recently, they haven't reached the level of lunacy that Kenner/Hasbro did, and they are pretty good about keeping a normal Batman on the shelves at all times.

I personally have fallen in love with the Kidz Biz (I think that's the name of the line) Mego-esque Batman that was released in '89. It was a foreign release. I'll try to take a picture later but man is this think sweet. It looks a little short in the legs but the headsculpt so makes up for it. I had owned a carded one years ago when I was heavy into Star Wars. I had gotten it for cheap and only bought it because it reminded me of the Mego's that I had as a child. Needless to say that purchase led to the slow opening of the gates to Mego collecting. I picked up a loose one not too long ago and it is probably one of my top five favorites now.
