General Zod Mattel new 12in Fig Question

I remeber Zod as having a complete Black Uniform, with shinny blk trims ans boots. Whats up with Mattels redish trims? It makes the figure look strange and inacurate? what do you all think? why could they not have just made one film accurate, since this figure is supposed to be film accurate.

That is why I won't be purchasing him. Nice head sculpt though....at least on the prototype.

I saw that also but maybe the second edition will have the right colors.If there is a second version.

I THINK if you look closely, Zod's outfit has some very dark maroon elements, but the red is WAY TOO red. I love the Superman movies and the character so much I ordered it anyway.

Zod/terence stamp was not the biggest guy in the world. i dont think the figure is to skinny

The red kind of bugs me, I wonder if the final product will look like that in person?
I really don't need another doll, so I hope it doesn't.

I'm gambling it won't but if it does, I can live with it. It certainly looks more like Zod than any previous version, and I love the character (as played by Stamp).

I'm hoping it's darker.

The more I think about it, the more I worry about the quality of the figure. If it were great, wouldn't they have done a better job of showing preview pics? I feel like it may be like one of those bad movies that they refuse to screen for critics before release.

Earth 2 Chris, when you receive the figure, if possible give us a report on the figure and some pics if you can, perhaps your feed back ( for myself and some other members) will be the deciding factor whether I purchase the figure or not.
I agree the figure looks to skinny, perhaps it was made to compliment the mego Comic book skinny 12 in Superman figure.

I visited Metropolis Illinois where the "Worlds Biggest Superman Collector " has a shop and he has a lot of Hollywood stuff all teh way back to George Reeves glasses. I saw A costume and it was labeled on the collar Terrance Stamp.

In person the General Zod outfit does have a red trim. Its like a dark maroon vinyl with a black pantyhose effect over it. Thats why it usually looks black. It just didnt show up on screen very well.
