Today this has been floating around the socials. Now Mattel did mention they were going to do a Super Power line but I had thought they were doing them in the 6-7 inch style.

But...If by Legacy they mean to capitalize on the fan base 4.5-5 inch figures they would get my money. Only time will tell and Toy Fair is a few months away.

I thought 'legacy' was their main 6.5 line with various sub-lines within based on retro lines (like super powers and total justice). Then there's also premier series and ultimate edition.

That is what I thought but really until pics start to pop up we are left questioning....

I thought during SDCC Mattel mentioned they were going to have a lineup called Super Powers but they were 6-7 inches tall and were going to be Kenner accurate.

Apparnetly Mattel's Super Powers line is going to be based on the new animated series, which sounds like a rehash of the DC Super Hero Girls concept with less emphasis on the females. So it's connected to the classic line in name only. Bummer.

No pictures yet but it looks like a new Wonder Woman action figure is coming soon based on a new Super Powers cartoon.

DC Super Powers": The animated series takes place at the Alliance School for Heroes and focuses on new students Lightning, Flash, Plastic Man, Aquagirl, Green Lantern, and Terra – each enrolled to "level up their powers under the supervision of Principal Martian Manhunter, in the hopes of one day graduating and becoming the next generation of Earth's defenders." Matt Beans is executive producing, with Michael Chang serving as a supervising producer.

Uh, yeah, that looks terrific. Does muddy the water a bit concerning brand recognition.
