Mattel doing DC super powers in 2027

Toy reviews on You tube are leaking SDCC news that Mattel is doing DC Superpowers in the adult collector line. Firestorm , Steel, Orion (kenner head)
Mr. Miracle , Darksied Desaad , Black Vulcan , and Cyclotron . will have to wait for SDCC for full details but these look like closer to original kenner figures Orion is listed with white helmet and 6.5 " Hopefully they will do the whole original set in this size and including the rest of DCU

Now if Mattel wants to rerelease them again I will pass, especially the Kenner Orion.

I have the original run and its Kenner -Hasbro 1984-1986 not Mattel . Mattel was doing Marvel Secret Wars during that time.
Mattel did some 30th aniv. figures of Super Powers Superman at the end of DCUC but not like a whole line . Firestorm has a modern look (not 80's)and they added Steel . I don't know if I'll go all in on these but will pick some up to go with DCUC .
I like the Mcfarlane Super Powers choices but not the 5 POA and repaints of Superman , Batman etc. I am definitely getting

This is exciting news! Love Firestorm, Black Vulcan, Darkseid and DeSaad. But will the figures have the awful ab crunch articulation that DCUC and Multiverse had? Or will they be free from it like Mattel’s current Core kids line?

I'd pretty much resolved in my mind not to start buying any of these new DC figures from Mattel, because over the last 6 years+, I'd bought so many modern Mego (and FTC) DC figures that I continue to enjoy, as well as the majority of the McFarlane Super Powers line (and almost all the vehicles), as well as a surprising number of McFarlane DC Multiverse 7" figures.

So I told myself, "You now have an extensive collection of modern DC figures in 4.5", 7", and 8" Mego-style, you don't need to start buying 6.5" from Mattel as well."

But now I hear about an upcoming 6.5" Firestorm in Super Powers style, and my resolve is already crumbling.

I did the same with McFarlane 7" Multiverse but no longer try to complete entire sets but in stead I am learning to cherry pic my favorites and skipping the 5 Mr. Freezes.
If I get some of these it will be cherry picking or team building JLA , Titans, JSA but don't need Mattels Batman repaints that are in all the 3 packs. I was going to skip these originally but saw Black Vulcan , Mr. Miracle , Orion

I`m having a hard time just getting the 8 inch figures that came out in the last 20 years never mind these new 6.5 figures. Have the original super Powers and have not touched any of the new lines ( as of yet ) these would have to impress the hell out of me.

I also have been picking up all the Multiverse vehicle since they are compatible with the 8 inch line. These boxes take up lots of room.

Waiting on pics of the new offerings.

The new Mattel DC kids line figures fit in perfect with DCUC Mattel DC universe line 2007. Not sure what size Black Vulcan will come in since they will do a collectors line also. There were certain figures not done in the 2007 line that could be added if done in 6.5" like Black Vulcan .I will skip the vehicles but might be tempted if they do a Hall of Justice
