    JLU Blackhawk 3 Pack Review

On Black Friday I managed to pick this 3 pack up for the sale price of $11.99 and while that's still far too much to pay for this pack, it's better than the $15.99 it normally goes for. I decided to do a review but it's mostly on Blackhawk himself since everyone already owns dozens of the other figures.

I try to highlight this pretty awesome figure, but no JLU review can be done without addressing some of the issues with this line. Check out the full review if you're interested in this figure or maybe pulling the trigger on this pack.

Its a really neat figure, but I could not pull the trigger on one new figure for 12 bucks. RIP OFF. I thought Mattel said they weren't going to do that anymore.

Yes, it is a bit much for one new figure. But it won't be as bad as one of the upcoming 6packs. Supposedly, Mattel will release a boxset with 5 old reissuses and one new figure of Eclipso.

Blackhawk is a great figure though. I traded someone on another site for him. He's definitely worth a few bucks, but not the store price.

As much as I love the fact there are simply a million of these to collect the price vs. quality is outrageous. When I looked at the early stuff the paint lines looked like Stevie Wonder painted them while having an epileptic seizure. If these figures were $4.99 each they could make them forever and they would be gone from the shelves. Now I will simply wait until I find them at yard sales and flea markets loose and hunt them down one at a time for 25 cents a piece. Occasionally they turn up on clearance and I'll grab em then. I hit a copperhead in my local grocery store for a couple of bucks a few months back. Mattel has some great opportunities to promote their lines but it seems many toy producers don't have a desire for longevity, they simply want the top dollar hit and get on to the next thing. They direct lines at collectors and then increases prices until they price the people that they directed at right out of the deal. Makes ya wonder sometime what they do in all those meetings. And it's not like Mattel is the only one many of the other toy companies seem to be adopting the same strategy like they're all in on the plan.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

We picked that up for my son. It kinda killed me to spend the dough for only one new figure and two that he has multiples. But on the other hand, people just getting into the line can get Supes, WW, Batman, etc in this assortment plus some characters new to those who have been buying longer. Not perfect, but the SF 3-pack makes up for it for me. It was fun trying to explain Amanda Waller's "superpower."
