Wait, there’s going to be a Beast Man? He’s in the movie?

Mattel hasn't officially announced the 5.5 inch First Ones line but it already leaked awhile back from amazon Mexico and a few other places. From what I remember besides the figures there's also a Roton vehicle, Battle Cat and lights and sound role play power sword.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Ok, i just saw the packaged Beast Man pics. He wasn’t included in the leaked Amazon listings almost 2 months ago, so i am surprised to hear he is an early figure. So I guess he’s in the movie then? Here’s hoping that one of the best MOTU villains, Mer-Man, is also in it!

Beastman is in the movie and can be seen in the trailer.

Mattel's announced shift away from 7" Masterverse to 6.5" Chronicles is kind of a bummer for me personally, for one specific and one general reason.

Specific: Masterverse 1987 Movie Line Left Incomplete. While I never bought any of the 80s He-Man toys as a kid (or adult) or watched the Filmation cartoon, I did really like the 1987 live-action film in a 'cult classic' kind of way. As a result, I had been buying all the 1987 movie Masterverse figures produced by Mattel over the last few years and thought/think they're really great (albeit with a replacement Dolph head sculpt). Mattel is about halfway through the 'main cast,' by my own estimation. I was wondering why a pre-order hadn't gone up for a new one in recent weeks. Now I know. With a shift to Chronicles-style figures for the upcoming He-Man film, I assume that this 1987 movie Masterverse sub-line will go no further now. In particular, I wanted a golden armor Skeletor, a Teela, and a figure of that lizard guy. Alas.

General: Fin de Siecle Vibe. More generally, I received this news in the broader context of multiple happenings in the 'action figure industry' over the last year or two, which to me make it feel like the end of an era. Those happenings include, in no particular order: (1) news of serious financial problems and layoffs at Super7, (2) McFarlane losing the DC license, (3) Hasbro moving from Pawtucket, RI to Boston, amid a broader stargeic shift away from making/selling phsical toys/figures toward an electronic game and licensor model, and (4) modern Mego seeming (at least to me, from a distance) to very significantly 'downshift' its output over the last year or so.

He-Mania.com is reporting the MOTU First Ones figures are priced at $9.99 on Target's computers. That's a really good price for those.
