    Preorders; How Do They Work?

Every preorder I ever did I used a credit or debit card and they charged a token amount at the time of ordering and then returned it just to make sure the card was good valid whatever. Then, when the product was shipped to the vendor, the order amount was charged to the card. Makes sense right? You pay when the vendor has the product.
So I preordered the 66 Batmobile from Entertainment Earth. I used my Cashapp Debit card since I can add funds to it as needed whenever and if there is a problem it is not tied to a specific account. So I get an email from EE that they tried to charge my card Monday for the 90 bucks. For a product not available until December. They said they are going to make three more attempts by 11/7. I mean not a big deal I’m putting the money in now because I needs my toys, but this seems wrong on a fundamental level.

I dont know about debit cards but EE has outrageous shipping costs. And I know sometimes like Target will charge my card for a little while to see if my funds are there then fully charge me when items arrive. Sometimes I use and like the shop pay option becuase it's instantanous and fast but you pay up front which is fine as long as you know. The best imo again is BBTS. $4 dollar shipping rate card charged when items arrive and if you need to cancel your pre-order early it's easy to do.

Well EE had free shipping for $79 dollars and over and the 66 was 79.99. So with tax it was $86. Not bad. I called EE just now and they weirdly said the car was in stock and would ship when I paid. That does not sound correct. At all.

Most places just charge when they ship, as far as I know. I usually order through Big Bad Toy Store, because they do the "Pile of Loot" thing where you can stock your orders for a certain amount of time, and ship at once. Plus shipping is $4. They are a bit slower getting things sometimes, but it ultimately saves me quite a bit of money.

Yea that’s what I was thinking. They say the 66 bat is in stock now which MCF said it would be December. Somebody is incorrect somehow someway.

On Amazon Canada, it will ship Nov 7.

When you pre order on Amazon Canada, they get a Auth number on your CC when you pre order but only charge it once the item ships. So you get 2 notification that your CC was charged but only one charge goes thru once it ships.

Weird but its the system for them.

Do you guys really think this will be Mego size compatible ? havent ordered yet and still debating.
