    She-Ra & Swift Wind 40th anniversary 2 pack comparisons.

First thing, in the promo pics and how Swifty is packaged in the box his back legs are twisted all round wrong. Horse's legs don't bend that way. Luckily you can rotate the joints around and get the back legs in a normal position which it was obviously sculpted for. Second issue, the wings are a beast to plug in. After those issues are taken care of, it is an absolutely wonderful set.

Swifty with back legs in the correct position.

A neat little addition is Swift Winds mane has two hair grips sculpted in which She-Ra's hands hold perfectly like little handlebars. The vintage toy has reins but Swifty in the cartoon didn't and She-Ra often held on by grasping his mane. Also, all the armor and wings come off and you have the option to display him as Spirit.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

    40th and vintage Swift Wind.

The first series Swift Wind obviously wasn't colored like his cartoon counterpart. The closest the original toy line got to the cartoon colors was the 3rd series Royal Swift Wind. The vintage Swift Wind, like the vintage Battle Cat, has absolutely zero articulation. The new one is super posable. Even more articulated the MOTUC one.

      Vintage, cartoon collection and 40th.

I think the 40th She-Ra is a nice upgrade to the cartoon collection one. The new hair sculpt and fabric cape really help. In person the translucent hair looks pretty nice. Far less see through than I expected. You really have to hold the figure up to a light to get the full translucent glowy effect. Again, the original She-Ra doll didn't look a lot like the cartoon. Still a lovely and iconic toy.

I'm in the minority in preferring the toy designs, but I love your posts and am very much looking forward to receiving my set.

Of course I want Mattel to exploit this new horse tooling--I want Scare-Mare and Arrow!!

I also really love the toy designs. It was very disappointing we didn't get them in Origins.

As Spirit. You can't do this with the MOTUC version.

Very well done, it's wise to attach the wings via the saddle.
