Masters of the Universe Origins Thundercats.

These look great. Unlike the Turtles, you can actually swap parts and make normal cartoon accurate Thundercats along with their crossover looks.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Those are nice! The humanoid Battle Cat will be a cool addition to a regular MOTU shelf as well.

They turned out way better than I expected.

I was a bit worried when these were announced the Origins team would continue to shove more Snake Men down everyone's throats and turn them all into snake-hybrids again. Glad that was not the case and even better we get normal versions of all the Thundercats characters! The Battle Cat-Man and Skell-Ra designs are also pretty close to the designs from the MOTU/Thundercats DC comics cross over mini-series.

I have never understood why Mattel wants so desperately to make the Snake-Men happen. That barely got off the ground before MOTU was canceled. There's very little nostalgia for it. For a nostalgia-based line, that's weird. That's like if G.I. Joe Classified went all Ninja Force or Star Brigade.

Yeah, the Snake Men have always been the least favorite faction. I think it boils down to someone on the Origins team just REALLY likes like Snake Men. I mean even the new TMNT crossover series is all Snake Men. It's been overkill.

I love the fact that one can have just nice Origins versions of the Thundercats as an option. Battle Cat is terrific.

The Snake Men concept helped kill the 200X MOTU, right? Generations of people at Mattel love these guys, and I don't think anyone else really does.

The 2002 cartoon and toyline were already struggling and the Snake Men rebrand was the death knell for both. I think bringing in the Horde would have been a lot more successful.
