Marvel Legends Nicholas Hammond Spider-Man '77

Yes Virginia, it's true. Revealed in today's Marvel Legends Fanstream. Walmart exclusive (sigh) coming in early 2025. I can't believe this is actually happening.

Yeah, didnt catch the livestream but just found out about this and can not believe it, I have officially died lol.
The only caveat is that its a walmart exclusive but, i will find a way.
I guess Ferrigno Hulk, Reb Brown Cap & Electric Company Spidey could be likely in the future.

Now I hope they make an Electric Company Spidey and of course the Ferrigno Hulk. This is great), by the way I ordered a custom Hammond head from WGSH recently and I'm very pleased with how my Hammond Mego came out.

Would be nice if they had HAMMOND's face as an attachment

Marvel Legends made a Peter Parker from the 90s animated show. Its well known that he was designed to resemble Hammond. So using that head might work well enough. I had actually considered at one point getting that figure and a 2nd Toei Spidey to kitbash as an unmasked Hammond Spidey.

Btw, has anyone else noticed that he actually didnt wear the clunky belt and web shooter over his costume in the '77 tv movie. That minor change was made when it became an ongoing series in '78. Not a big deal at all, just something i realized.

I shared my thoughts on this and the series over on 13th Dimension:

Hoping to get 3 of these but we'll see. One to dispay on my desk, another to dispay on my shelf with the other live action spideys and one to keep in box.
That might be a bit much but, this has been a want of mine for literally decades. I remember being really young and using my Pocket Heroes spidey as a Hammond spidey stand-in. As a kid, I thought the all black eyes on the mego figure resembled the reflective lenses that they used later in the series.

I have this series on VHS, I got on eBay years ago. But they’re just quality dubs with no boxes.
Those boxes look great!! Makes me want to find them.

I got those from someone a decade or so back. He also dubbed them onto DVDs for me. The pilot has the artwork of the official release but is a VHS transfer off the original. I also have a video disc of the pilot.

It would be great if this was “officially” released on DVD or Blu-Ray.

I did that with Toei Spidey. One for my Marvel shelf, one for my Tokusatsu shelf, and one to keep in box.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

This is great. I would have preferred a Mego, but this is great. The TV Hulk is a must, now! That is the holy grail figure I've waited my whole life for. It's crazy that Marvel won't market their early tv characters the way DC does.

Did anyone get the target exclusive Spiderman '77 funko pop? I got mine the other day, it's pretty neat. They gave him 2 webshooters for some reason lol but, its fine.
Hopefully the preorder for the marvel legends figure will drop soon.

I didn't even know this existed until I read your post. Then I walked into Target and there it was, sitting there with a FF Spider-Man. But $14.99?!? If I knew it was that much, I might have left it. But it is pretty neat to have.
