    1/6 Scale Destro Review

A 12 inch figure that I like? Made by Hasbro?! What is the world coming to? Today I'm looking at the new Rise of Cobra Destro figure and despite a handful of issues I think this figure can go pound for pound with some of the higher end figures in this scale. Check out the full review.

Great review , I want to purchase one I have several of the other destros.
I would suggest elite brigade socks for his feet to keep the shoes on.

I have a couple of the other 1's ... But did not like this figures.
I liked the Previous Destro 12incher..., kinda from the Anniversary line.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

always trading for Hot Toys Figures .

I've picked up almost all of these figures. Only missing one in the series right now and that is Duke in the special armor outfit. I actually got them all this week because they were only $9.99 each. Hard deal to pass on. I went ahead and got them because I figured after the upcoming holiday weekend, they'll be much harder to find with parents scooping them up for Christmas gifts. The head sculpts, especially on the Dennis Qaid figure, are descent. Much better than what I typically see from Hasbro. Destro is definitely one of my favorites. Fun figures and well worth a 10 shot. Good value there, even if you wanted to part them out. Now that being said, I would not compare them with or even put them in the same zip code with Hot Toys or even DC Direct. Without question the head sculpts are better and I tip my hat to Hasbro for the effort. But Hot Toys pride themselves with excellent head sculpts, detailed paints, and incredibly detailed outfits. And let's not forget many of the figures have that cool life-like skin and muscular bodies. So if you do a point by point comparison, Hasbro falls behind fairly quickly. But I think it's completely fair to call them very good figures for what they are (especially at the price point they are in). Great stuff and I share your ethusiasm for this line. It's a refreshing departure for Hasbro. Thanks for putting your review out here!

My comment on the comparison was soley on the head sculpt of this figure alone. I really don't see how Hot Toys or Sideshow could do a better head sculpt. I'd be curious to see what they could do, but I'm not sure there can be a "better" head sculpt of movie Destro than this. The rest obviously goes to the other companies.

                Thanks for the feedback all.

HAW! I thought it was Destro from an off-Broadway production of "Guys and Dolls."

Any plans for reviews of the others in the 12 inch line? I enjoyed reading yours.

Indeed I do plan on reviewing some others. I will review them as I pick them up. Almost got another one last night, but couldn't commit. I will have more in the weeks ahead though and I'll post them up here or keep checking the site. Appreciate the kind words.

Awesome! Look forward to reading them. I'm still going through the motions of cracking all of mine open. I'm a big believer in package preservation so I carefully cut the tape in the back, pull back the cardboard flaps and peel back the cardboard facing, then cut a flap in the base of the plastic so I can slide the figure out and put him back without any destruction to the package itself. Helps alot when it comes to storing or just stocking on shelves.
