    Had some fun on this article for 13th Dimension ranking the Top 13 First Appearance Batman figures, including dropping a few of the figures into that seminal issue, Detective Comics #27!

    BATMAN WEEK: Toys based on the Dark Knight’s first appearance are a collector’s dream…

      I think I might have put the Imaginext figure in the top spot. Like you said, it is just so heartening to see something like this actually aimed at kids! My intro to Batman was largely through Superfriends, Batman 66, and Mego. For my son, it was The Brave and the Bold and Imaginext.

        Yeah, Imaginext and B&B were a gateway for my kids too, and I have a lot of fond memories of playing with them together. I was trying to go with the best fidelity to the Detective #27 artwork, so the 9" Hasbro figure took the top spot.
