Mattel Pushes WWE : Poe Ghostals Points of Articulation

I am not a wrestling fan but I was shocked to find Mattel pimping figures, I never heard about it. Anyway, here's what they look like for the fans here.

Yeah Jakks contract expired and the WWE went with Mattel this time around, which sucks cause there was suppose to be a few more Warriors made in the Jakks classic line that now won't be made

but those look good though

A little disapointed on the change of these as well ...., I really wanted a Jakks Pacific MachoMan to go with a few of my other figures...., & I started to really dig the retro-style ljn figures too.

Well One good thing may come of this. Mattel may take the classic line in different directions. That's a good thing right ? The WWE signed all those old timers to Legends deals so I am sure Mattel will eventually have a Legends or Classic Line. The only thing I dread is Matty Collector exclusives...... Blah !

I don't know, I know Warrior had a separate contract with Jakks that i don't think he'll get from Mattel which sucks since his figures are the best selling ones and most popular. But i do believe we'll see Machoman finally

I agree on Macho Man. Since WWE released the DVD set that is a positive sign that Vince and Randy have patched things up to some degree. I'd be shocked If Mach is not signed to a Legends Deal soon , if not already.

Vince really needs to stop his Temper tantrums. If he can patch up things with Hogan again and again, then why not Randy ? As for the Warrior figures , I am sure Mattel will attempt. It would be foolish not too. I just wonder if they will low ball their offer which could prevent it.

The Fate of the Legends Line is ALL That matters in collecting them imo... , Those were the only ones I really collected. It just sucks to have as many as I do have of some of those..., & No MachoMan. Maybe The LOD Will be a Little easier to get with these New Mattel Ones... I do have a couple of the different Hawk & Animal figures..., but never did find the ones that go for Bank.

I found a pack when they were first released, I didn't take them and then later found out how rare they were

I'm with you BlackKnight. The Classic line is all I ever collected from Jakks as I am only a fan of the old days. I don't care for Mattel's new figures. Hopefully their Legends line is done well.

Agreed. I have eally never been a fan of Jakks figures. I do have a handful of the Bone Crunching, Classic Superstars, and a few others here and there , but I never reallt got deep into them. As far as wrestling I really went and collected the Remco AWA , LJN WWF, Hasbro WWF, The Magnificent Wrestler Mego Like, and few other spotty figures. The one thing I really hoped that the Classic line would have done is more characters , and not just repaints of the same characters, although it is cool to have figures from different era's of wrestlers careers. Maybe I am just spoiled about it since I favor The Remco and LJN Lines.

Nope...

I will not be getting these. Mattel did MANY interviews with the wrestling figure community and the number one request was that their figures were in scale with Jakks. Welp...Of course Mattel decided not to do it that way. They are not in scale with JAkks at all. Forget them then!
