New JLU, Brave and Bold minis at Target

Read on AFI where Target was already doing their reset, so we went to the nearest one, and I came across quite a few new things! The two new JLU 6 packs were there. I picked up the "Mutiny in the Ranks" set with the Legion of Doom/Secret Society. Yeah, I got yet another Lex Luthor, but the first ever Psycho Pirate, Tala, Devil Ray (replacement Black Manta), Dr. Polaris, and Gentelman Ghost (my personal favorite) in JLU style are included. They also had the new hero set, but I passed on it (for now). Superman, comic-decoed Elongated Man (classic red, black and yellow), grown-up Supergirl, Obsidian, Mr. Terrific and Hourman were in that set.

My son was stoked to find the new Brave and the Bold Action League figures. These are very similar to Hasbro's various mini-figures (Super Hero Squad, Galactic Heroes, etc.). $6.99 for the two-packs, and they had a nice Batmobile set with Batman and Clock King (only way you can get him according to the Mattel panel at SDCC). Andrew came away with the Batmobile and the Plastic Man and Blue Beetle two pack.

These are pretty much in scale with the DC Imaginext stuff, so it increases the play value of these if your kids have those.

We also saw the regular line Batmobile, that transforms into the Batjet. At $40, it will be a sure to be on many a Christmas list.

Also saw figures from The Secret Saturdays, and lots of GI Joe stuff. The toys look pretty good, anyway....

The Action League line has my interest. I saw a Ted Kord Blue Beetle in the SDCC pics.

No Ted yet on the packages. Target had two packs of Bats and Kanjar Ro, Aquaman and Black Manta, Bats and Red Tornado, and Beetle (Jaimie) and Plastic Man. The Batmobile box back showed deluxe sets with Bats and Gentleman Ghost with skeletal horse (!) and Underwater Bats (show accurate) with the Batsub.

There were also individual pics of two Batman styles, Green Arrow, Atom, and another Blue Beetle (again, Jaimie).

              "Mutiny in the Ranks"???

Thank you SO much for the heads up that this thing exists!

This'll sound funny...but THAT product is worthy to be my first JLU
              product purchase!

(I hope I can buy it somewhere for a reasonable price...soon!)

Hue, the 6 packs are $19.99 at Target. Not bad at all for 6 figures.

One minor complaint. After opening these, Devil Ray's back pack (which is a separate piece, but none removable) had some issues around the shoulders on the back. There is a tiny tear in the strap, but it looks like it will hold. Unfortunately, there's no way to tell unless you open the package, but be aware this may be a problem on these figures.

Oh, and one more thing. I saw the Marvel Universe 3.75" Secret Wars 2-packs with comic. Captain America and Klaw, Human Torch and Wolverine, and Spider-Man and Thunderball. They looked nice, and sported "Secret Wars 25th Anniversary" on the package. Man, has it been THAT long?

                  Chris...

...other toy collecting gentlemen...I bought "Mutiny".

                  It's ON!

                  I'm scared...but it's ON!

(You'll never have to hear me drool about JLU figures from afar ever again---
now I have 6 of them----although that Psycho Pirate does nothing for me
                  and will not be displayed.)

                  It's ON!

around these parts----as you can really "get" me----altho's
I'm sure you think I'm crazy for waiting this long.

The bad part now is simillar to what I went thru with getting back into
SW figs after a 9 year break----finding the best version of each character
I want and dealing with some odd pricing.

Like...am I gonna haveta pay out the nose for a good CHEETAH figure loose or otherwise?

She looked to be like 15 bucks or somnething...even loose (on ebay auctions)

                      Oh well---it's a start.

And I just love having the 6 that I DO have---

I truly was waiting for all 4 of the bigger JLU villain B-listers
in that pack to be released---and I don't own any Lex's at all---so it's just really cool because it was FIVE figures I really REALLY wanted "all at once"---
four of them being totally new to the line.

I missed out on the new JLU 6-packs at Target today but managed to score an Aquaman/Black Manta Action Heroes 2 pack. They also had the other ones but I passed for now. I like these "chunky" little heroes.

Over at TRU I grabbed the B&B Atom and Sportsmaster. They had the Bats/Gentleman Ghost 2-pack, as well as the Bats/Grodd and the new Batmobile. And they also had the TRU exclusive Action Heroes 6-pack with the clear Gentleman Ghost. Fantastic stuff!

this line would be so much better if they didnt have those darn holes on their arms for accessory attachments!

In the Little Kiddie Ones at Toyrus..., I saw The Gentlemans Ghost/Horse & Batman Today. Very neat stuff,.. 12.99 for the set, there was also in the same size packaging a Batman with Batsub.

They also Had an Exclusive 6 Pack,.. with all the figures you see in the 2 Packs,.. + a Transluctant Gentlemans Ghost.

& a Smaller Non-Transforming Batmobile for the Holy Figures.
