Not thrilled with the body, but I'm definitely buying at least one.

Sorry.....fail. Call me when the Barbie mod boots, anorexia, and giraffe neck issues are resolved. Sculpt is OK.

I wonder if it would look better with that head on the 12" Mego Superman body? Couldn't look worse, right?

What I dont get...they have a fine 12" (well 13") body already! Why didnt they use that?

I have to say the head sculpts are a bit weak too, at least when you take all the other 12" scale figures out there these days into account. Unless these are meant to sell for a lower (under $30) price point, they will need a bunch of tweaking.

Personally, I figure they should do them on the new Mego/Mattel 8" body...who needs 12" figures when those are back!!

They need to beef up the body, tweek the head, and get rid of those boots! That being said, I will still have to buy one.

I'm just glad I only collect 8". Cause that version would be a big NO. Hey Supes, go eat a burger or twelve.

That looks like I did in my Superman underoos in 1978, all gangley and clueless, but feeling cool none the less.

The 'Karen Carpenter' and especially 'Horsey' comments really go to show there are some class acts around these parts doesn't it!

If these fellas ever had to endure the misfortune that Christoper did in his later years I doubt they would be able to show a fraction of the dignity and courage he displayed.

Just fine. Sorry its just great that Mattel is showing such a fine product. Way to honor Reeve. It does look like total crap.

Captain, the 13" bodies are made by DC Direct. This movie Superman is coming from Mattel.

I think the Zod sculpt is dead-on, and looks as good as a lot of Sideshow sculpts. Reeve is notoriously hard to capture in 2-D drawings, or 3-D sculpts. Heck, that Toynami mixed media statue's face sculpt is a little too angular, really. The features are a bit too sharp.

I do hope they fix the body, and tweak the head, but I'm excited that we are actually getting figures from these movies. Mego half-way did it WAY back in 78, and that was it.
