yeah but it would've been cool back in the day to have had the whole set
You have a good point how about a Mego like , Jareth, Sarah, Hoggle, and Ludo ! Heck even just regular figures in that old 70's and 80's style would be cool. I do think to some degree that something is lost with the super detailed sculpts of today's figures.

Reason: Type-O
In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !
I thought kenner did some of the predator stuff a few years ago and mcfarlane toys and necca have done them haven't they?
On the heals of their excellent Queen Alien and ridiculous animal based aliens (Bull Alien?!), Kenner added some Predators for them to fight in the mid-nineties, 'cause the Space Marine action figures just weren't cutting it.
For me the coolest one was in clear plastic, to similute his invisibility mode.
I was looking at the trailer for land of the lost, and thinking that if austin powers had a line why not this film? and it got me to thinking about what other movies never had a licence that should have or had one that was done badly.
The biggest one to my mind was league of extrodinary gentlemen, that was crying out for a line of figuresand vehicles, the third mummy movie and the last two underworld movies aswell given how cool the firat movie figures were so cool.
what ones can you guys come up with
it would have just been more figures for the closout aisles
lots of action movie toys might appeal to an adult that would never work for kids (it's actually what made mego fold, why mattel makes matchbox now, and kenner so weak hasbro bought em)
Look at all the Mcfarlane lines for examples. also Fantastic four (a comic book movie with a comic villian should have sold and didn't).
Funny, I actually just got this on DVD a few months ago and watched it again. While I doubt there would be enough interest to justify a toy line, it is a pretty cool sci-fi movie, with a bunch of well known actors in it.
when it was new NO merchandising would have flopped but Bucakroo banzai is a cult film classic and could work as a adult collectable toy line
Blade Runner! Why has no company made Blade Runner action figures? Hot Toys needs to get on this.
Check out these cool bootlegs...
And every other Horror Movie icon has been made into an action figure from Macfarlane or Neca, why not HERBERT WEST, THE REANIMATOR himself? Needs to come with the decapitated head of his nemesis Dr Hill in a tray.
BB is my favorite movie in the world. I would have been all over a toy line for it. Was hoping LJN would take a shot at it back in the day.
There was a jet car toy that involved a circular track and a mountain. It was kind of small and the truck went around the track and gave the illusion of passing thru the mountain. But that is about it for toy collectables for this movie.
There is a pretty solid cult following and if anyone ever did try to license a toy, they would certainly sell some.
Wow, really, a jet car set? I've never seen that- I'll have to search it out! IFC just ran the film 2-3 times the other night, I re-watched it again. I have to find the whistle theme song to use as a ringtone!
Smokey & the Bandit in the 3-3/4" line with a Trans-Am, Sheriff's car (both new and damaged), Snowman's rig.
Agreed. A toy line should have been a given for this. I cant remember ,but it might have had a over 18 only rating at the time though? I rmember my buddies Sister had to sneak us in to see at the drive in. Dont recall if it was due to the rating, or because she was cheap?
I guess it did inspire CB MCHaul, so it kinda had an unofficial toy line.
