    Max Steel goes Hollywood

At least this makes more sense than a ViewMaster movie!

In case your wondering why I put this under modern toys, the article stated something I found interesting. The Max Steel line, much like his uncle Big Jim, is still produced in some countries, and is still the number action figure line in Latin America......Who knew?

    Hmmmm....

Every time I hear the name, I think of "Max Steel's Robo-Force."

Me too. I'm constantly disappointed when this Max gets mentioned instead of Ideal's robot line.

As long as they don't call him Pa BJ. Yikes.

I collected these & customized a few; I had no idea they had continued overseas (just like Big Jim did). Any dealers carry them?

When Mattel had the Masters of the Universe license, I had hoped they might exploit the Max Steel molds into 12" MOTU. I thought the figures were well done, in some ways better than Hasbro Joes at the time.

I didn't know about the Big Jim connection. That is pretty cool.

Kind of like how The Lone Ranger is the Green Hornet's great uncle.

I was amazed how popular Max Steel was in Mexico. In the department stores I wandered into, the Max Steel section was much bigger than some of the more popular toys in the US and Canada like Star Wars or Transformers.
