You know, I ran across an infomercial the other night with Jessica Simpson in it. They sell a cream that would clear up CC"s complexion in no time!

According to Dark Horizons, after the first showing of the film to Paramount Execs, the director Stephen Somers was fired on the spot, and Stuart Baird was brought in to try salvage the film....its that bad.
But who knows, could be. Has Sommers directed a film since Van Helsing?

Is Sommers name on it? I figure if that was true, they'd have to credit both. I think one reason The Director's Guild steps in on such matters now was the ugly mess that the Salkinds pulled on Dick Donner over Superman II.

You know that's true , because of the Richard Donner mess, This could get very complicated. Hey does that mean we a Sommers cut after 20 years and fences with Hasbro and Paramount are mended ? LOL. To answer the question , Sommers has not directed anything since Van Helsing. In The " Real World " Vampires Do Not Sparkle. They Burn In the Sun !

I'm a huge Joe fan and I fear this movie. I probably won't even see it on the big screen. I'll wait for the DVD. My favorite character from the comics is Cobra Commander so I'm already let down by his new look. I realize a terrorist usually doesn't wear a shiny metal faceplate or a cool hood but that's what was cool about him. Besides it was a comic book. Making the transition to film can't be easy, but it is a comic book movie. I guess that explains the black-suited heroes. Spider-man didn't have to be changed much. I don't believe Joe & Cobra did either. But that's only my opinion. The whole Deadpool/Red Skull Cobra Commander? Bad idea as far as I'm concerned.

If I get into collecting 12" figures again I might score Cobra Commander so I can use his mangled melon as a custom figure of some kind. Maybe an unwrapped "Unknown Soldier" or unmasked Snake Eyes. I know in the comics Snake Eyes only had some bad scars but who knows about the movie. Maybe he looks completely normal. It's a switcheroo!

It's been discovered that Hasbro recycled the entire toy from the Action Man line:
Not only is the head from there but also that sword and body:
