BLACK HOLE vinyl V.i.n.CENT at SDCC!

Apparently, there's going to be a pretty large-sized vinyl toy of VinCENT released at SDCC this year, created by a company called MINDstyle:

    MINDstyle blog V.I.N.CENT.

...Chances are it'll be expensive, like most of this current 'art toy' stuff. I don't know if MINDstyle will be the actual seller, of if they're doing the design & manufacturing work for someone else. This is about all the news available.

You can program him do dozens of moves, as the top of his head has a key pad installed into it.

I hope I can find a line on one as well. My suspicion, however, is that this guy will be somewhere around $80, and there will only be 60 or so available at most - judging by what I see happening with small manufacturer vinyls like the Gorgo and Reptillicus vinyls that were released at Chiller over the last couple of years, Kaiju Big Battel's vinyls, and the like.

Much as I like these vinyls, I only admire them from afar and they completely pi55 me off: they're mass-produced and look soooo much like plain ol' fun toys, but they're not... they're "art" and they usually cost as much new as you'd pay for a comparable old toy.

The only thing I don't like about vinyl figures is sometimes they crack after time.
That happened to my 16" Japanese talking Robby.
