SDCC DC Direct Hal of Many Colors exclusive

Hey guys, just found this over on another site:

SDCC 09: Blackest Night Invades Comic-Con
DC Direct reveals exclusive figure set for blockbuster summer storyline.
    by Richard George
June 12, 2009 - Green Lantern fans listen up - DC is going to be offering a very limited item this July at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. For the first time, fans will be able to collect Hal Jordan not only as a Green Lantern, but as a member of the Red, Orange, Blue and Yellow Corps as well. Interested? We thought you might be. Read on for the details, including which colors will be available on which days.

The most important details are these: you can only get these items during the San Diego Comic-Con and supplies are extremely limited. Fans will be able to line up at the Graphitti Designs booth (#2315) for these rare collectibles starting on Wednesday, July 22. But here's the catch - you'll have to visit the booth each and every day for the latest color. Each customer can only buy 2 of each figure.

    Here's the breakdown of availability:

Wednesday (Preview Night) - July 22 - 6:00 pm Hal Jordan: Green Lantern - 3,000 pieces available

    Thursday, July 23 - 10:00 am
Hal Jordan: Yellow Lantern - 1,500 pieces available

    Friday, July 24 - 10:00 am
Hal Jordan: Blue Lantern - 1,500 pieces available

    Saturday, July 25 - 10:00 am
Hal Jordan: Orange Lantern - 1,500 pieces available

    Sunday, July 26 - 10:00 am
Hal Jordan: Red Lantern - 1,500 pieces available

Each figure comes with its own lantern and a wearable power ring customized to each Corps. Each figure is available starting its respective day, and will continue to be on sale until it is sold out. As of press time, pricing information was unavailable. Each figure comes in its own four-color box. Be sure to check out the photos in this article for a better glimpse of each Hal Jordan figure.

Great, another reason I'm bummed about not being able to attend San Diego.

That's pretty cool, and it sounds like they don't have to that stupid ticket thing Mattel makes you do.

Wow, remember in the late 80s when Hal couldn't even keep his own book?

^ I knew when I saw the thread that you'd get sucked in Jason! I'd like a couple of those myself actually.

That is bloody ridiculous! So even those of us who are going for a couple of the days won't be able to get the entire set.

Getting Sucked in Is Not really the Problem,.. It's trying to get all these that Will Suck ***** .

BTW... They shoulda stuck a little closer to the Story Line... Hal's Blue suit,.. was Half Green too... I take it Hal will Also Don the Orange Suit in the Next issue to try & Maybe get his Hand Back from LarFleeze.... Hal's never Don'ed the Yellow Suit,... & At this Point,.. I pretty sure, when All is Said & Done... Hal will Become a Black Lantern to set everything Straight.

Double BTW... DC Direct's Marketing Or lack there of Division is Full of a Bunch of Idiots If you ask Me.... This IS something that would Actually sell in Comicbook Shops & Diamonds Distributing Company,.. Rather Than a Flipp'in Batman or a Superman Version 446 or whatever.

The article didn't mention how much they would be. Without going to SDDC, I really had no chance of getting these. Really sucks for people that were only going one or two days. They won't be able to get the whole set without going to ebay. I am a little surprised they didn't use the Hal from the first series. Instead they used the Hal from a recent Superman/Batman wave.

I'd really love a set of these, but I've no chance.

If only we could have a decent show with exclusives in the UK.

I'm planning on going, but I'd much rather go to panels than stand in line.

Black Knight's right. These would sell in stores. I wouldn't be surprised if they somehow didn't make it to the direct market at some point.

Toyrocket.com has a preorder set for $369. YOu have to pay up front for them.

Geez. I wish the companies would do away with the exclusives.
