    Loading Toys Action Heroes

Lately, I've been following the releases of the Chinese company Loading Toys.

Personally, I think they're doing a great job on some current action heroes, such as Tom Cruise, Jason Statham, Daniel Craig, Mark Wahlberg and Matt Damon.

The likenesses are close, but not perfect. The company cannot afford paying licence fees, so they go as close to the actor's features as possible, without risking a big company slamming them with a law suit.

But hey, at least you get a chance to collect some actors's likenesses that might never get an action figure.
They also avoid using specific names used in the movies, and even specific outfits. So for the perfectionists, you might feel shortchanged, but for the "adaptable" collector, you can create your own look from your favourite movie.
I'm getting Statham next month, and all I'll need is a nice suit to finish him off (for The Transporter look). His outfit will be perfect to provide Cruise with a Mission Impossible SWAT sweater and provide Damon with pants and sneakers.

The details on the head sculpts are great, sometimes putting "big boys" like Sideshow to shame. You can count the lines in Craig's lips, the sculpts are highly detailed.

Check them out, and think about which action heroes you might want so see in this line-up. Forget Arnie and Sly, they already have representation with the big companies.....

WOW! Thanks for the link Gorn. Besides Mego I'm also a collector of Hot Toys, and DC Direct figures and these guys are certainly giving them a run for their money. Never heard of them and those sculpts are AWESOME...prices are great too (bury the competition). I wonder if they'll sculpt something if you request it?

I don't know how communicative they are, their English is obviously not perfect (judging from the site).
I like the fact that they go for current heroes that are not "attached" to big franchises.
We might get a Will Smith or something, who knows.

They are also "upping the ante", with Wahlberg getting a full metal rifle, and increased detailing on the face. The shoes are all "fake leather" with real laces, very convincing...

One important remark: normally, you don't get a body with these guys. Some dealers have starting throwing in a DID body, though...

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This stuff blows away Dragon. I usually don't like super realism in action figures but these are awesome.
