Canadian G.I JOE Convention Exclusive Set

I attended the 7th Annual Canadian G.I JOE Convention this past weekend and, though I prefer to collect 12" Joe figures, I managed to grab the sweet convention exclusive(limited to 100) set. This is the first time that Hasbro has been directly involved with the convention exclusive in any capacity and I'm quite impressed with the results. Here are a few photos for the G.I Joe fans here at MegoMuseum:

    In the box

Contents: Filecards, instructions, decals, comic, accessories, 3 figures, 2 vehicles

Figures and vehicles(Dead-Eye Tank and Cobra H.A.T.E tank)

Just the figures(L-R Chacal Noir, Back-Stop, Cobra Frostback Trooper)

It was in Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday the 2nd of May. You can read about it here:

          http://www.joecanuck.com

The guys who run that website put it on. It has been growing steadily since the first one seven years ago. This is the first time it has been an official Convention(with the endorsement of Hasbro). Before, it was called the Canadian Joe Meet. I've only attended the past two years but it's a great day for Joe fans/collectors. I'll be there again next year. I can see it moving to Toronto or Niagara Falls in the near future...

There were a few vendors that were selling ONLY 12" items. I didn't have the cash to buy anything vintage after shelling out for the CON set($125CAN) so I grabbed a couple of the Walmart exclusive 12" Anniversary figures that I didn't have and the related accessory packs. Also, picked up one of the more recent footlockers(1998) w accessories MIP for $20CAN. The vendor with the best selection of vintage 12" goods looked like he was just out of the army(all muscles) and I'm pretty sure he came up from the U.S for the Convention. Didn't catch his name though...
