Does anybody know if the reissue guns have similar melt problems to the originals.
I have a couple of vintage suits and would like to display with guns, but the ones I have are pretty bad. Was thinking of putting some PM items there for display, but don't really want to have any more plastic melt issues and don't want to damage the holsters/costumes if anything touches.

    thanks

DEFINITELY a big fan here. I had EVERYTHING (of the originals) when I was a kid when they first came out in the late '60s (including a Silver Streak). Since I am almost 50, I grew up with the 12" scale figures first (and CA was perfect for my DC and Marvel Superhero fix!!) I'd read a stack of 12 cent comics and re-enact the stories with some of the CA figures (using GI Joes and a lot of imagination to fill in the other characters).

Unfortunately, nothing survived from that time period (yeah, if only I knew then ....) and I had to re-buy a lot of stuff over the years (still don't have the Silver Streak!).

I was really happy when Playing Mantis reissued the CA stuff several years ago but very sad they could not get more licenses at the time. I definitely would have gotten the Jonny Quest set (and anything else they would have come up with then...)

Naturally, getting the Mego-sized CA and Dr. Evil was a thrill, combining my favorite childhood toys (cap'n action & Co) with the mego scale (my "adopted" scale favorite toys).

It seems like things have come full circle now!!

When I can see my DC and Marvel Megos stand next to Captain Action and Dr. Evil now (and in the same scale), it's definitely a case of present and past colliding...

Wish PM could have worked out a deal with DC and Marvel to repro those sets, it would have been a big boost for the line.

                big time PM CA fan.

missed out on a lot of this stuff.....I could Kick myself for not jumping on the Phantom costume right away (did get both Dr. Evil costumes tho).

I have two Dr. Evils (Blue and Brown) as well as Kid Action. As well as the longboxes for DE and KA.

never did get a CA, but that will change soon enough, as I plan on completing this line at some point.

my fave PM sets were the ones that never were made in the vintage line, because they were entirely PM. the reissues were neat, but I am glad PM got to stretch their legs a bit and give us some new designs.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

I love them too and I wish there were outfits for Kid Action too. I played a little game on my nephew... took off mask after mask after saying "Who do you think is under here?". After several Captain Action's he was quite shocked when it was Dr Eville.

Yeah, agreed I wish they had done some KA outfits.

man, it'd be great if they had gotten the DC license.

I just bought a Ming from pwmasson, and it is great. I love the outfit and the accessories, but I really dig the 'flesh toned' Dr. Evil figure. I need another one for my Kabai Singh costume, so he doesn't look like he has a skin condition! :D

next on my radar is acquiring a Captain. Either in the longbox or the window box, I don't really care anymore.

                              I display 'em loose anyway.

and I need that Green Hornet costume. Not the one with the doll, but the regular one with the removable eyemask.
