DCUC Hawkman, Kalibak, Captain Marvel review

Since Captain Marvel - and a fairly decent version - is in the new DCUC wave 6 release, I thought I'd mention my review. It's at the usual:

Michael Crawford's Review of the Week - the number one source for action figure, toy and pop culture reviews!

I'm looking at three of the six (counting the BAF) today, and I'll have the other three up on Sunday night. But the Hawkman is the best of this bunch, a fantastic figure!

EDIT - as promised, the other three are up!

Thanks for the review Michael. I was wondering what you though of them. I had no idea they were having joint issues. Sucks about your Hawkman. Chris had that issue with his Aquaman. All my figures are still carded until I move so I haven't noticed.

I hear you about wave 5. I still haven't seem Amazo yet.

      Nice Review.

I think The 4 HorseMen's HawkMan displays some very neat Inovative Technology as far the the Wings come...

The "Door Like Hinge" on the Wings is a Fantastic Idea,.. when Making these Figures with Multiple Points of Articulation. Not only Does the Wing have an Additional Joint on it's Self,.. but to Make the Hinge on the Back is very neat. The Wings become Individual when posing,.. instead of Just something that just sits there,.. or Both Wings end up Moving,.. One Way or the Other. Neat Stuff.

So far the Only Figure I have scene & Have from Wave 6 is HawkMan.
Agreed that the Marketing for these figures seems Rediculous, in the fact , that they seem to be the Hardest figures in recent times to even collect. I never really ever See them In stores,.. & thus Have been buying the Recent complete Sets from BigBadToyStore. It takes a bit longer to get a wave,.. but I'd rather be able to Know I am going to get them,.. rather than Never seeing them. As far as My Imediate Area goes,.. Wave 5 Never Showed up to the 3 Different Walmarts I have to drive to either. I dunno what kinda Half *** Backwards Marketing these figures got,.. if any . But it Seems as if they only showed up at Half the Walmarts accross the Country,... & Monstly in the MidWest. But then Again,.. the Marvel Legends Ares Wave never showed up here either,.. until a few weeks ago at one of my Walmarts,.. & they were already put on Clearance, a week after they were on the shelves.

I have not had Any problems with my Hawkman,.. as far as joint or Paints go..., He imo was one of the Better ones, so far. I seriously Disliked the Paint on the Red Tornado,.. even more so around the Cape,.. it was Hidious. & One of my Metamorpho Legs for some reason,.. does not stay in the socket. Lame.

My HawkMan came with the other Arm for Kalabak too.

My Green Lantern & DeathStroke figures,.. both Had arms,.. at the Elbow, that were Half off the Pin on the Arm,.. they almost looked like they were going to fall off..., I heated up some water, then used some tweezers to pull that arm,.. back over the pin & snap it in place.

All in All ,.. I think the Figures are a ton Better than 90percent of Marvel Legends,.. & Believe me,.. I have almost all of them too. Marvel Legends joints get way to week,.. right off the Bat,.. & Most of them don't even move,.. untill you work with them. I hope the DC Universe figures continue.

I just got Done reading an article in the New ToyFare 138 . Some one asked the Question "Why are the DC Universe figures so hard to find ?" The DC Universe Rep over at Mattel Kinda Simply put the Answer,.. Because retail just isn't ordering them.

It's a shame. I personally have never been as excited with these figures,.. since I was a Kid collecting Mego, or Super Powers.

Thanks, 'zilla! And now I finished up the set with a review of the Killer Moth, Supes and Mister Miracle. At the usual of course:

Michael Crawford's Review of the Week - the number one source for action figure, toy and pop culture reviews!

                      I love this Killer Moth!
