I'm not sure there are any variants in this assortment...since it's a Wal-Mart exclusive they were probably too cheap to srping for an additional figure, even if it was a repaint. They requested that this wave be made up of characters that could be made without tooling many new parts.

a Disco BlackLighting & a Body Suit Riddler would have been Perfect for that line,.. or even a repainted Riddler. imo

I am A little Bummed that the Vigilantee is the 80's version rather than the 7 Soldiers Western Version myself.

I'm not a fan of any of the figures of this particular wave...the Riddler is horrible IMO. The only one I considered getting was Atom but I already have pretty much the same thing from DC Direct. I think this wave's Amazo is better than the DC Direct one but I've already got that too, so no need for duplication.

Well ... I got 3 of them so far,.. missing Atom & Eradicator so far...
I am a Sucker for BAF's,.. & when I 1st saw Metallo,.. I disliked him, However once I scene some of the figure in my Hands,.. I love him. :sigh: ... + I like thier Heads for the Most part.

In Jan at Mattytoycollector ,.. they will have a New Suited Adam Strange / StarFire 2 Pack . Man I sooooooooooo want that.

in my area, they usually run 11.99-12.99 depending on what store you get them from.

Thanks for all the information guys. I am on vacation in Kansas City, MO and was Christmas shopping at Target. I was looking over the new JLU figures (Bronze Age Batman and Hawkman look SO cool) and my eyes were drawn to the Classics line. I didn't buy any but when I got back to my friend's house I did a Google search and the first hit showed me Commander Steel and I freaked out! I'd like to collect this line but I'm not too keen on their DC Direct-like prices.

Are the figures more in scale with each other or is the scale all over the place like DC Direct?

I know what you mean. I would have preferred the Golden Age version also. With Commander Steel in wave 8, I am sure they will release more characters from that time. Dr Fate I can understand, even Citizen Steel since he is in the current JSA book. I am surprised they did Commender first. Makes me believe they will actually make more from the All Star Squadron. I am really wanting a Johnny Quick and Robotman.
