DC Universe Wave 8 Announced

Wave 8 has been announced as:

Commander Steel ™
Dr Fate ™ (with a chase classic gold version)
Gentleman Ghost ™
Hawkgirl ™
Mr. Terrific ™
Parademon ™ (both Red and Yellow/Green versions split 50/50!)
Vigilante
Giganta ™ (Collect and Connect ™)

From the pics I saw they all look great. Giganta is 10" tall and looks like she's from the Legion of Doom. The red Parademon looks like the Super Powers version. A nice wave.

Oh man, this line is getting better and better. They are really going with some odd character choices (which I love). Its very bold of them, but I hope they don't go too far. Hawkgirl is the only "anchor" in this wave, and with JLU off the air for the past few years, her relevance on the toy shelves is waning. I just don't want to see this line die, like Super Powers, for lack of at least one big gun per wave.

That "classic" gold Dr. Fate is actually a new version (the Hector Hall one, while the yellow one is the classic Kent Nelson version. May be just a mix-up.

I hope they manage to get these into more stores. It's still a chore to find these.

i agree with you guys, mattel has reallly done a super job with this line. hopefully they dont run out of ideas!! i just wish they were more abundant!

Not to be too picky, but how's that gold Dr. Fate the "classic" version when the yellow one is how he looked in the 40s-70s? Seems it should be the other way around . . .

Gentleman Ghost is getting a JLU figure as well. Bout frickin' time.

Animal Man would be cool. They could do a modern and Silver Age variant too.

The only wave I saw had Penguin and Batman and Orion in it. I was hoping for Hal Jordan and Nightwing but...its not going to happen is it?
