I bought one of these re-issue sets a year or so ago. Pretty cool and very authentic, except the first time I cranked it up a bunch of the plastic teeth broke off the motorcycle and it wouldn't go. I contacted the company and they sent me a replacement and since then it's been golden.

Maybe this might lead to the rest of the Evel Knievel stuff being re-issued?

These sets posted have been around a year or more.
They have already done the Funny car, and Drag car, as well as brought out a new Robbie Knievel set several years ago.
I have heard they were going to do more sets, but this year so far I haven't heard of anything new.

True, but you still need to be careful. The original sets had metal parts that you had to keep oiled w/ 3 in 1 every so often. The repros have all plastic parts. The more you play w/ them, the more the plastic parts grind against each other and stop working. (trust me, I know! ) I can't use the cycle from my daredevil set anymore.

Jay Horowitz, a guy well known in the toy industry, has the molds for all of the Evel Knievel line (along with a ton of other stuff), and will produce any of it if he can get enough orders to make it worthwhile....In otherwords, this wasnt a limited re-issue by any means. If Back to Basics orders another round it will be done. I would suggest that you contact Back to Basics and request further EK products...You can also check out the American classic Toy web-site to see what and when they release next....
