Lego Batman promotion is on at McDonald's

The new Happy Meal promotion is Lego Batman:The Video Game and Madame Alexander Wizard of Oz (the second set of these). The first two toys are the Batboat and the Joker helicopter. The Batboat is really neat. It launches a min-Bat vehicle with Batman out the back, and Batman's little head turns to the front of the vehicle when you launch it. Other toys coming up are Penguin sub/ship and the Batmobile. Also figures of Batman, Robin, Joker and Mr. Freeze. Looks like a great set of toys. Andrew and I are stoked, and Cindy has the first set of Madame Alexander toys, so looks like we'll be eating at Mc'Ds a lot. Better get some Tums.

I had similar thoughts until I found out I could just buy the toys everyweek without getting the food.

Yeah, I could do that, but my son loves McDonald's nuggets and apple dippers, so I'll suck it up for him.

Seems like how much they charge you on the toys alone varies from store to store. We were at a McD's about an hour away yesterday, and when I went back to get me a set of the first two bat-vehicles and a WOZ figure for my wife, I was only charged $2.86 for all three. At our McD's, the price is $2 a piece!

Too many toys. Not enough space!

I took the family to Applebee's for supper and as it happens, McD's is on the other side of the parking lot so we popped in. We left with 2 Batman and a Mr. Freeze. Sadly, Batman's arm is stuck in position and it looks a bit odd and my oldest is a bit disappointed. I may be able to give it a little heat and bend it down though.

          My wife got Dorothy.

Oh, it was $5.05 for 3 toys. I got a 2nd Batman so it was almost 7 bucks total.

I stopped by McD's and got Freeze and the Batboat. I wasn't going to get them but they are too cool, plus I can get a set for my son. Oh, and in case anyone missed it there are codes on the toys to use in the Lego Batman game that will allow you to do stuff.

I don't know who was up first but in the display were the basic 4, the Wizard, 3 Munchkins, the winged monkey and the Winkie Guard.

Well, we've got the first 4 now. They are numbered on the packages:
                        1. Batboat (shoots a little mini-Batvehicle with Batman head on display)
                        2. Joker Copter (un-removable Joker bust-figure in the cockpit, shoots missle)
                        3. Batman figure (throws BIG Batarang, also doubles as hanglider/backpack
                        4. Mr. Freeze (with cannon that shoots ice missle)

The remaning pieces are figures of Robin (with HUGE Batarang grappling missle launcher), Joker (with some kind of jack-in-the-box/bomb thingee), Batmobile, and Penguine sub/boat.

My son has been running around with the bat boat all week. Just got the Batman one today. It is pretty cool.
                              It's all good!
