Some of the Takara stuff, much like Palitoy Action Man, is just amazing--so creative.

I bought a Takara Joe 1971 playset called Secret Communications Base for my villain Joes, it has a simulated-radar electronic feature
and is one of the best playsets I've ever seen seen. Has a James Bond vibe.

This is all news to me! Thanks for posting the pics. They're great to see. Terrific addition to a collection.

When I first looked at the one standard soldier, it kind of reminds me of mego Dr. McCoy.

Nifty! Thanks for sharing. I was totally unaware of these.

The German in the black uniform looks like Bing Crosby

Interesting, I did not know of the head variants, or that the Combat Joes were newer than the New Joes.

Takara New Joe flocked bearded version. Just got this guy in. I have several of the smooth haired version, and the German head, but hadn't picked up the flocked version before.

Original flocking on this one and these are Takara shirt/pants, belt and boots.

Here's my Revenge of the Spy Shark set. It's on a blonde muscle body Joe.

There's several specific pieces to this set. One being the black shark, same shark used in other Adventure Team sets, but this is molded in black. The yellow raft is unmarked, and does not have oar loops. The knife is unpainted as is the unpainted spear gun. The oar is molded like a regular one, but has swirls in the plastic of darker colors. The buoy is all red(mine is the normal red with white stripe) and the orange jacket(one snap) and pants(elastic) are specific to this set.

This guy had been languishing in a box in my garage along with 4 other of his friends. They are still in exploded form in baggies. I cleaned them up and got all of the elastic dust out of their joints.

I have a full afternoon of boxes to go through
