Please help with G.I. Joe head question

    Hello,
I picked up this G.I., Joe talking Action Pilot yesterday. The buty has the 67-75 markings. Also it came with a bunch of uniforms which were tagged “made in Hong Kong”. The only issue I am concerned about is the head The head is soft. My concern is that it has light pink lips and scar. I had always thought that these were the reissue Anniversary heads from later years. Please tell me whether I have an original 67 through 75 head or a liter production from the 90s? Your help, would be greatly appreciated.

Here is the side view. The scar and lips seem really light pink to me.

That's a vintage head and it looks like a 1969 issue to me. They tend to have a lighter scar and lips, and always are pretty soft, and a little bigger than than the earlier heads. They also tend to look a little dirty like that one does. FYI, you'll find Adventure Team fuzzy head Joes that have painted hair under them, as they were just flocking right over the 1969 heads.

The talkers were usually soft too, but I wonder if this one might have been swapped at some point. If you have two heads and put them side by side, I bet this one will look a little larger(fuller).

Yes. It is definitely a little larger than the earlier heads.
what makes you think it may have been swapped? The butt stamp?

Here are the body shots including butt stamp.
I could be wrong but I thought it was a 67-75 stamp

The stamp looks fine, and yes with the patent number being present it's an later issue. What I meant is you tend to find these on 1969 figures based on the head. A talking pilot would have been a 1967-68 as those were phased out in 1969, but certainly this is appropriate for a late issue military talker. I mostly wanted to narrow it down for you and assure you it was vintage.

Talking pilots are fairly hard to find, so awesome you snagged one!

Update: You were right, he was not actually Talking Action Pilot.
He is a Talking Action Soldier. I did not realize until I got the talking mechanism to work.
                Not it makes sense.
                Thanks again
